Betrayal

She sat there trembling, her heart quickened... She couldn't breathe; she took in breaths but they were shaky and hesitant every time. She couldn’t move since she was tied to a chair with a blindfold and duct tape over her mouth.

The panic attack was getting worse every second and noise she heard. Tears began to fall down her pale face. Before all this she was with her sister Mikkie in her room laughing and giggling about the cheesiest movie they had found.

There were footsteps in the distance - They echoed, “A basement!” she thought to herself. The footsteps began to get louder and louder. She had begun to fight against the restraints around her wrists and feet, “You’re going to hurt yourself.” She stopped, “Oliver?” he chuckles, “Hello, beautiful.” He smiles hearing her muffled his name under the duct tape.

Bloo Rain didn’t know what was going on, all she knew was she was tied up like a torture victim in front of her best friend Oliver Smith, His cloudy blue eyes looked so pleased ... So evil, “How’re you feeling Boo?” Oliver took the dull grey duct tape off her pale pink lips letting her pant, “Answer me, Boo.” Oliver called Bloo “Boo” Because of how her name is spelt, “Wh-why am I here?” Bloo stuttered but then again, she always stuttered when she got scared or nervous. “Because I want you here.”He replied as he walked away from her. She continued to stutter, “ Why are we in your basement?” Something had gotten slammed down in front of her - Something metal hit the cement floor making her flinch, “We aren’t.” Bloo’s heart skipped feeling his presence around her. Oliver undid her blindfold and slid the black cloth into his back left pocket.

Bloo’s eyes were flushed with sunlight coming from above her - she squinted trying to make her eyes adjust.

Oliver sat in front of her in a backwards metal chair facing her, “You look like you need a drink.” He leaned over and reached under the chair pulling a water bottle out, “Like my hideout? Nice Huh?” He asked, opening the clear water bottle.

Bloo’s bright abnormal ice blue eyes dance around her surroundings. The building was huge, she saw a couple silk black couches off to one side of the building facing the corner where a tv stand was set with video games and movies. As her eyes moved along the building she saw a few wooden stage boxes and very few windows. Bloo tilted her head back to look up at the ceiling, “ A warehouse...” She said out loud not noticing she was saying what she thought, “Yeah cool right? I got this place to get away from my mom.” As that was said, Bloo looked at Oliver believing something terrible was going to happen between them; as Oliver stood up the window above Bloo broke and Oliver wrapped his arms around her tight to make sure nothing could hurt her. Bloo’s head was on Oliver’s chest... She remembered when she got a hug from him it was protecting and comfy, it always had the effect of making her heart skip. But now, he WAS the one who wanted to hurt her. Suddenly she felt Oliver pull back. They both looked up and saw Bloo’s older sister’s ex boyfriend James sliding down on a rope. Oliver hurried and pulled Bloo’s chair back so she was behind him, “Let her go and no one gets hurt!” James shouted, “James!” She shouted not understanding how he had found her, “What’re you doing here!?” James was now on his feet a pocket knife between his fingers twirling it, “I came to rescue you, Mikkie called me and said she couldn’t find you.” Oliver shifted his weight as if he was about to run, “Over my dead body!” Oliver had slid something from his shoe and threw it onto the floor. All Bloo could do was watch.

James took off into a run at Oliver, Oliver stood there for a moment then made his legs move. As they got close together James threw the knife and it had barely missed Oliver but gave a small cut on his left cheek. Oliver growled and grabbed James’ arm flipping him onto the ground. But yet James kicked Oliver back making him stumble.

Bloo didn’t know what to do. She quickly looked around and saw that the knife wasn’t too far off...If only she could get to it... She took a breath and tried to steady herself onto the bottoms of her feet so the chair wasn’t touching the ground and slowly tried to inch her way to the right of where the teenage crazies were fighting. As she moved she began to lose her balance more and more; she fell to the side and hit the cement floor a bit hard. Bloo felt a sharp pain in her arm hearing it crack, she wanted to scream and cry - she had known she had fallen on her arm the wrong way but she also knew she couldn’t sit there and cry about it. She pressed the toes to the floor and pushed herself towards the knife. James had gotten thrown over her and Oliver jumped over her to go after him; Oliver’s foot hit the knife pushing it closer to Bloo. Bloo inched her way up closer to it. She threw her weight up in the air and turned over the chair still connected to her, “ What adrenaline can do for ya.” She muttered to herself as she felt around for the knife behind her. Once she had it she threw the ropes around her wrists that felt like hours since she had been free; she threw the knife away from her and the boys and untied her legs; she darted for the entrance of the door but it flew open in front of her. She stopped and started to back away until she saw it was only police officers, “Smith!?” The police officers rushed in. Bloo looked back and saw Oliver Smith holding James to the wall, “Got him!” The officers grabbed James from Oliver and arrested him for stalking. Oliver panted with blood running down his face walking over to Bloo, “I’m sorry.” Bloo stared at him, “What was this?!” She basically shouted not understanding, Oliver took a breath, “ You know how you were getting all of those weird presents and messages?” She nodded, “ Well, I looked more into it and your sister said while they were dating she found him going through your room and she was scared for you so she broke it off with him.” Bloo still looked at him, “And this was?” Oliver chuckled slightly, “I figured if I kidnapped you,” Oliver did air quotations around kidnapped, “and had your sister act scared we could get rid of him... I'm sorry you got hurt.” Bloo hugged him with her good arm, “It's ok... In a way this was super sweet.” Oliver chuckled, “Come on, ambulance outside.”
