At 5:39 p.m. on December 5, Kudi was seen leaving her apartment on Islingword Road. Verphy, on the other hand, was absent until the evening of December 11, after a six-day party.

When Kudi turned 18, she went to a music concert where the DJ announced her birthday. Upon returning home from the party, she found her daughter lying on the floor.

Verphy Kudi, a teenage mother, has admitted to the manslaughter of her 20-month-old daughter Asiah Kudi, who was left alone at their Brighton flat while Kudi celebrated her 18th birthday in December 2019.

During her six-day birthday celebration, Kudi attended parties in London, Coventry, and Solihull.

At one point during the party, Kudi broke down and expressed her concerns about Asiah, whom she was worried about as she was not used to being away from her.

Upon returning home to Brighton, Kudi called 999 for help, saying that her baby was not waking up. Little Asiah was taken to the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in Brighton, where she was sadly declared dead on arrival.

At the time of Asiah's death, Kudi was residing in supported housing for young families managed by the YMCA(The Young Men's Christian Association) on behalf of Brighton and Hove City Council.

Verphy Kudi's Neglected Her Child Several Times

On October 23, 2019, Little Asiah was left alone for seven hours and 18 minutes. Then, on November 7, she was left alone for 10 hours and 37 minutes. Kudi's movements were tracked by officers using phone data and CCTV footage from the supported housing block where she resided.

On November 19, the heartless mother left Asiah alone for 17 hours and 13 minutes, and then again for another 33 minutes. Later, on November 23, Kudi attended a birthday party and left her daughter alone for two days, five hours, and 51 minutes.

Kudi abandoned Asiah again on November 28 for 11 hours and 35 minutes, and for the final time on December 5, when she left to celebrate her 18th birthday across the country.

Sadly, when Kudi returned on December 11- five days, 21 hours, and 58 minutes after she had left- Asiah had already starved to death.

What Happened To Asiah Kudi

Shocking footage has been released, showing Kudi smiling as she parties in a nightclub on December 8- three days after leaving her daughter.

CCTV footage also captured Kudi leaving the flat and her baby girl as she embarked on her journey on December 5. She can be seen looking disheveled in further footage as she returned home on December 11. She entered her apartment and met the lifeless body of her daughter, but shockingly, she did not call emergency services for more than two hours.

According to the post-mortem examination and forensic tests, baby Asiah died due to neglect, dehydration, and starvation.

Earlier, it had been revealed that on the day Asiah's body was discovered, Kudi had attempted to sell concert tickets on Twitter.

During the sentencing, the judge criticized Kudi for prioritizing her desires over the needs of her child. Verphy was sentenced to 9 years in prison.

According to court proceedings, the young mother had been estranged from her family for a considerable period of time.

Verphy's family released a statement prior to the court hearing, expressing their sadness and many unanswered questions. The family had always tried to support Verphy, who had experienced a lot at a young age.
