With the demise of Ashly Robinson, the way the authorities are handling this is as a criminal investigation. Her death comes on the heels of a luxurious excursion to Zanzibar. Her fiancé, Joe McCann is at the center of law enforcement’s pursuit of the truth.

Who killed the Instagram influencer? What is it with these beautiful chocolate girls that achieve some level of success but then are struck down in just a short time?

The one thing that is true is that her family cared enough to start a GoFundMe page to raise $50,000. As of this writing, patrons have contributed $40,000 to the cause.

This is a show of support for a serious, sad situation. The idea of the woman victim is so well tread in literature because it occurs so much in real life. This is another subject for Dateline or 20/20. While we eat off the carcass of Miss Robinson, we have to remember there’s a human being whose life had been snuffed.

To get caught up in the hype of this gorgeous angel who was snatched away from this world without regard would mean that emotions had to be involved. Let’s look at the facts. The couple wanted to go for a romantic retreat and she ended up dead. A young woman who wished to show her skills on the Web had her life allegedly stolen from at the height of her life.

As a 31-year-old Internet personality, she contributed to her followers and subscribers a sense of youth. Her physical attractiveness contributed to her growing audience. In her death, her image and voice will forever reflect and resound against the walls of the digital corridors.

If her boyfriend is in custody, we’ve gotta look at this happening as something that could blow up into a full-fledged look into his family history and his actions. That is the way the authorities must peer into his entire life and what he allegedly did to silence Ashly forever.

What is so powerful about this particular case is that it isn’t an anomaly. Other influencers have died or disappeared at the pinnacle of their lives and careers. It’s sad to see such a gorgeous and thoughtful woman be the subject of a possible murder.

Too often we become desensitized by the deaths of young people at the hands of those closest to them. While we don’t have concrete evidence showing the fiancé as a homicidal maniac, he is, however, in police custody.

With all signs pointing to him, though, it will be interesting to see him lawyer up in all of this. There’s definitely something that he knows about the entire story. That’s not conjecture. He knows something but he is not saying all of the facts surrounding the case.

The lingering suspicion as expressed by the officials is that he is cooperating but still holding back information. If he did the crime, it would be a release and a relief for the parents to get an answer, not closure. There can never be any way for them to heal this open sore. But, they might seek solace in the knowledge that the person who snatched the life of their daughter.

This sensibility is not new in any way. And there is still no word for losing a child. If you lose your parents, you're an orphan. What are you when your son or daughter loses his or her life?

Ashly Robinson deserves so much more. She deserves to be recognized as an individual who used her mind to advance her life. Now, as a woman who has found death, she cannot speak of how she died. That’s why law enforcement is so crucial to society. They provide the facts, no beliefs or faith but scientific conclusions that extend into the realm of the real.

By taking into account the notion that she had been so young and in the prime of her life, she represented more than just an Instagram face on the screen. She apparently mapped out a life for herself. She wanted to live. Someone allegedly deprived her of this reality and chose to smother her hopes and dreams.
