Even celebrity can't take back death.

Death is horrible. To the deceased there is no coming back from it. For the killer, there is no coming back from it. It is a horrible thing all around.

Celebrities are spectacles in our culture. They are our representatives on the world stage. They showcase and express our cultures, thoughts and values through art and that makes us grow an attachment to them that we don't grow for just any regular folk.

But celebrities are not above mistakes and sometimes, even murder.

In today's list, we'll be counting down 5 Nigerian Celebrities Who Were Responsible For the Death of Ral Life People.

1. Ibinabo Fiberesima

On February 26, 2006, Ibinabo Fiberesima was driving down the Lekki-Epe expressway when she lost control of the steering wheel and swerved into the inbound lane. In doing so, her car crashed into a man named Suraj Giwa’s car, resulting in Suraj's death. He was a medical practitioner at the Lagos General Hospital.

Following Suraj's death, Ibinabo was arrested and charged to court on the counts of manslaughter and reckless driving. In 2009, she was subsequently convicted and sentenced to five years in prison by Justice Deborah Oluwayemi of a Lagos State High court.

Following an appeal filed by her lawyer, Nnaemeka Amaechina, she was granted bail.

However, a Lagos High Court, on March 11, 2016, dismissed Fiberesima’s appeal and upheld her five-year jail term.

2. Rich Oganiru

Nollywood actor Rich Oganiru is famous for starring in especially side roles in a plethora of Nollywood movies. Though his name might not be popular, his face certainly is.

According to news reports, Rich Oganiru in 2012 allegedly killed his wife. He did this by poisoning her with the intention of acquiring her property. According to reports, his wife earlier on had been hospitalized for three months in Abuja following an undisclosed illness. Rich allegedly abandoned her in that hospital until the last day when she was to be discharged. After he came and got her home, the news reports hit that the wife had died on that same day.

At the time of the report, police told the Vanguard newspaper that although investigation int his wife's death was still ongoing, Rich had been granted bail. It also came out that the deceased wasn't Rich's wife. His first wife died earlier on when Rich was still very much struggling, that is before he met his second wife, an Abuja based multi-millionaire who transformed his life before her death.

3. Rabi Ismaila

In 2002, Kano-based Nollywood actress, Rabi Ismaila, was convicted of murder and sentenced to death, for killing her boyfriend, Mr. Auwalu. She reportedly kill him in order to acquire his property.

How did she kill him? Drugging and Drowning. She took him out for a picnic, where she poisoned him through chocolate and pushed him into a dam.

in January 5, 2005, Rabi was sentenced to death by hanging by a High Court in Kano.

In 2011, the Supreme Court upheld the sentence of the lower courts that sentenced her to death by hanging, and she was held in Kaduna Central prison from where she was transferred to Hadejia prison.

Then she escaped. And the police didn't find her for another 6 years.

In 2017, a joint effort by the Department of State Services and the Intelligence Unit of the Nigerian Prisons Service resulted in the capture of the convicted Hausa movie actress.

4. Tayo Odueke

Tayo Odueke is a popular Yoruba actress widely referred to as Sikiratu Sidondo, a name that she got after playing a wayward girl in the movie Sikiratu Sidondo.

A couple of years back, Tayo was charged with killing a young boy named Daramola who was only 1 year and four months at the time of his death.

The whole thing happened at Muri Busari Close, Oloti Village off Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, Lagos. According to reports, Tayo went to see her friend named Tope Doherty who had just come back from London. As both women entered into Tayo's red Honda, pandemonium immediately started. Unbeknownst to Tayo, she had ran over the 16 month old Daramola while reversing her car.

The matter was immediately dragged over to the State Traffic Division B. Operations Department where police took the rest of the matter into their hands.

5. Burna Boy

African Giant Burna Boy is huge now. But before making his claim to fame, success, and notoriety, all the way back in 2010, Burna Boy was reportedly involved in a gang-related stabbing in London that left one person dead.

Following the incident, he was tried as a minor, found guilty and sent to jail. After 11 months of serving time, he was reportedly released and put on 2 months of community service as part of his parole. But, the singer flouted the terms of his parole and traveled back to Nigeria to pursue a career in music. As a result, Burna Boy wasn’t welcome in the UK for several years.

That was until 2016 when he made his return back to the UK putting on a couple of shows which he christened his "homecoming".
