23 Second Video from Lagos Leaves Everyone Confused.

A video is going around the internet, especially Nigerian Twitter. It has a lot of people scratching their heads, it has some people asking God for help when going out in this country, and it has left some just outright angry.

The 23 second video published by Twitter user, Am_mazzing, shows what looks to be some kind of theft? Or scam? Or…I’m not really sure what.

Just take a look at the video for yourself and then we’ll talk.

So in the video, we see a woman I guess negotiating something with a trader. It looks like she pays him for the product, he bundles it up for her, and then all of a sudden, we see a man in front go behind the man and seemingly swap out what he was bundling for the woman with something completely different.

People are confused as to why this is and what exactly this means. If he’s trying to sell his market and get a reputation for being a trust-worthy trader, doesn’t it make sense for him to actually sell the woman a good that she would be happy with so she can continue to buy from him and maybe even attract other customers?

If not, if it’s a case that I don’t know, the woman gave him something to bundle up and then he switched that out with something else, then isn’t that theft? Also, did they just know that the woman was going to come and buy from them on this day?

Also some are wondering why/if the camera man actually shooting the video made the woman aware of what had been done to her? I hope so but it doesn’t look like it.

These are a couple of questions that have people scratching their heads. It’s scary. Because how can people be doing something like this, it makes no sense.

In yet another video posted by this same Twitter user about this topic, we see yet another kind of strange thing happen similar to the one above.

In this video, which is a lot more sleek, that is, you can blink your eye and you will miss it…a man is doing the same thing. Bagging a customer’s goods and then another man from nowhere passes by as if just going about doing his own thing only for him to bring a similar bagged good and swap it out with the man who is selling.

It’s ridiculous and I’m just so confused as to why people would do this.
