THE GOLDEN AGE GLITCH: Trump's Own Derangement Syndrome
It started with the pens. Obama’s pens. Gold-plated, slender, "diplomatic" pens that looked like they belonged in a museum for losers. When I sat down at that Resolute Desk, I could still smell the faint scent of Dijon Mustard and compromise lingering in the drawers. He had signed the JCPOA--the "Worst Deal in History," a total disaster, a real low-energy document--with one of those pens. I knew right then, if I was going to fix the world, I had to rip that paper into so many pieces it looked like confetti at one of my political rallies... I have the biggest rallies.

Explaining logic to Millennials
"I see you all sitting there smugly, politely listening to what I am trying to explain. But are you actually hearing what I am saying". Myra (me) paused a moment from her life lesson to her grown children...their attitude a slight annoyance to her.

What Kind of Person Becomes a Stripper?
I used to wonder what kind of woman becomes a stripper — until I became one. The first time I walked into a club, I remember the light more than anything. Soft, smoky, flattering in a way that daylight never is. It made everything and everyone look beautiful — the walls, the glasses, the women. Especially the women. They moved like they owned gravity, like the floor existed purely to serve them. Confident, magnetic, untouchable. I sat there on a corner stool nursing a drink I hadn't really wanted, watching them from beneath my lashes, and I felt something I hadn't felt in a long time — maybe ever. Hunger. Not for the job, not for the money, not for the attention. For the freedom. The kind that lives in the spine when a woman walks into a room and already knows she belongs there. I wanted that so badly it frightened me.

Outbreak. Runner-Up in I Made It Worse Challenge.
Hi Fam! Thanks for adding me to the group chat, Auntie Sue. It’s so good to see from all your messages that everyone made it out of the city to safety. What a relief that this app is still working so we can keep in touch through this mad time!

Word of the Day:払拭
The word of the day is odd because ChatGPT is choosing it so it doesn't necessarily go with what I am doing but whatever. I did learn some Japanese today becaue I had a tech issue that requires someone with both tech and japanese knowledge to help me solve.

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow
Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow—it was a phrase Mira had first heard in a classroom where dust floated lazily in streaks of afternoon sunlight. Her literature professor had recited it slowly, like a spell, explaining how time could stretch endlessly forward, carrying both hope and despair in its wake.
