What an evil person looks like
Reading through the news, I saw an article which talked about a young man who slaughtered his girlfriend, and instantly I had many questions on my mind. The most obvious question was to know why a person so young would do something so heinous, I wondered to myself why go to such a length and not simply walk away. Cutting the throat of a person requires a certain level of anger and premeditation, you can’t just do such an act out of randomness.

Being a slut, simply because you want to
A b*tch will have many reasons to enter the profession. Mostly because of "circumstances", because of "poverty", because of "tradition"... But for her, she is a whore because she wants to be a whore. Just as simple as that.

The Power of Words
I understand the power of words...the power in the pen, in the turn of a phrase, a smile and relatively cordial attitude (that is how it is in my head, you understand) can be transformed into a saddening sorry mess of downturned lips and sunken cheeks. Then comes the waterworks. Oh, the Niagara tear falls from the victim of childhood curt cruelty. The weeping on a random Tuesday or Wednesday in January back in the 1980s when I was less grey, more a mop of the darkest untamed brown hair you'd swear was black. I did not have my patented belly hanging down either but had the appetite of a ferocious beast.

A Friend of Hope. Content Warning.
Last week I was in my car on the way home from work when I got a call from a childhood friend. It had been a minute since the two of us last spoke so I was surprised to be getting a call from him. When I picked up the phone he gave me some devastating news, a friend of ours who we had known since the first grade passed away. What made it worse was he died by suicide. All I could think about and ask myself was how could this good kid who was always smiling and vibrant could’ve taken his own life? Of course that’s a question many of us ask ourselves when such a tragedy happens.

My sweet boy
pretty boy says , I’ve got those eyes . looking into the mirror has always been revolting . I recognise her , winter leaves frost bites on my neck as the flowers in my lungs decay .The butterflies are leaving now , they left a note , saying they don’t feel at home anymore , funny how you said that the day you left . They’ve sent the moths though. The moths take care of me now . I stand in front of the sink , the ripples of water control the inevitable fire that’s growing in the pit of my sanity . I break pieces of myself to debris so others don’t . pity glazes my skin and sits on it like she’s home .

Blossoms of Sakura
Maria had always been the invisible girl at Sakura Academy. With her plain looks, introverted nature, and average grades, she was the girl nobody noticed. In stark contrast, Akeno was the queen bee of the school. Her beauty was legendary, her grades impeccable, and her charm unmatched. She was the girl every student wanted to befriend, and Maria couldn't help but despise her for it.

Are you lazy?
In terms of productivity, I’ve been looking for tools to measure precisely my productivity. I found a couple of them which did give me some promising results, but eventually I realized that I didn’t need tools to measure my productive. I also understood why companies don’t measure productivity in terms of what people do on a daily basis. They look at the bigger picture, at the end of the day it's the execution of the higher level tasks which matter and not what small tasks people get done daily.

An Open Letter to Vocal
After only a few months, I am leaving Vocal. When I first started out I was excited. Vocal looked like such a promising, creative platform where any writer would be welcome. It took very little time to find out that the reality is different. The platform has failed to offer me as a new writer what I need: A welcoming, open-minded space for new writers where they can freely explore and are encouraged to be creative. What I found instead, was deeply disappointing. I put a lot of effort into everything that I write. I try to be open, honest, original, and I like to derive from the mainstream. At first glance, it looks like that's what Vocal strives for. But once you get to know the platform a bit better, you start discovering the ugly reality that hides behind a pretty facade.

This One is About God
I have to say, that my journey to God has just begun. It's been a long time coming. I remember as a child not understanding who Jesus was but sung songs about him. I felt this inkling towards God but not toward Jesus. So, because of my lack of wisdom, I decided not to be a believer. I roamed through life thinking I was something good, someone great. Which fed my ego to believe that nothing is wrong with what I do, the mistakes I make, and I became selfish. I still find myself being that way sometimes. I became so selfish, that I had no intention of listening to no one about how I should live my life. That was until I became depressed. Then something happened to me unexpectedly. I developed a mental disorder called schizoaffective disorder. I remember the episode being in my head filled with hallucinations, delusions, and voices. I never thought something like this would happen to me.

The reason behind my why
Time and tide wait for no one. Life is a sprinting race of the survival of the fittest, you have to hustle your way to the top. We all have heard this haven't we, while existence is over-commodified and hyper-fixated on the materialistic drawls we achieve and external praise that is showered upon us on striding on the contingencies of the timeline that is presented to us, we often forget living with intent and gratitude for all that we have and run in the rat race of proving our worth and accomplishing what we need to, essentially not even wanting to be a part of this glorified way of living, yet doing so to be validated and accepted as someone worthy. If you have been through this or are going through this, I want to remind you that you are not alone.
