Childhood
I Carried Everyone Until I Couldn’t Anymore
They came to me when they fell apart. Friends, family, coworkers—even strangers who barely knew me beyond surface-level pleasantries. Somehow, I’d become a magnet for other people’s pain, the go-to person when things got messy. I never asked for the role, but I never rejected it either. Saying “yes” to others felt like proof that I mattered. It gave me purpose. And besides, strong people didn’t need help, right?

The Cost of Being “The Strong One”
By Nadeem Shah “You’re so strong.” “You’ve got this.” “I don’t know how you do it all.” At first, those words feel like praise. Like you're doing something right. You’re dependable. Unshakeable. The go-to person when things fall apart. You become the listener, the fixer, the shoulder everyone cries on.

Lost and Found in the Market
I don’t normally go to the market alone. My wife, Maya, usually drags me out of bed with the promise of hot tamales and fresh mangoes. But that Saturday, she was down with a head cold and asked me—me—to go solo. I, a man who once confused cilantro for parsley and bought a pineapple without realizing you have to cut it, was now the designated hunter-gatherer.

The S'Mug of Victory
My paternal grandmother is a loud, rude woman. I think you know the type. If you suggest she's being too loud or too rude, she responds with phrases like "That's just how I am" and "At least I'm honest." Neither has she ever particularly cared for me much. So, on one of the few trips to visit my family while we lived in Florida, when we went on an activity that I had chosen as a reward for doing well in school, it was no big surprise that she complained and made a scene the whole way.

The Day My Smart Fridge Tried to Take Over the House. AI-Generated.
Start writing... It all started on an otherwise perfectly normal Tuesday morning. I was sitting at the kitchen table, sipping the first cup of coffee—the sacred ritual that kickstarts every day. My phone buzzed with emails, and I was just about to scroll through them when my smart fridge decided to interrupt.

The way he made me feel
It all started with a wave to a kid, who came like an angel who made a path in my love life. Our first meeting wasn't so dramatic like Hollywood movies or any K-drama moment. His smile towards me felt so genuine, soft enough to catch my attention. It felt so secret that it didn't felt like as if i was in love. I saw something in his eyes.... a lightness, a kindness, something that made the room feel less cold. For the first time in my life, i felt noticed. I have had crushes before but it never felt so unreal like he made me feel.
