Ghana is country that pretends to love and accept everyone, however the over 20 - 30,000 Lebanese that own and operate several businesses that employ hundreds, possibly thousands of Ghanians are being ignored. There is a Palestinian embassy that is also in the country, however Ghanians have decided to hold prayers for Israel.

While there are 200 Israelis in Ghana.

In 2014 a Lebanese-Ghanian took Ghana to the olympics. They employ several thousand Ghanians at their various stores. Sadly many people who opened restaurants, hotels and others stores in Ghana have reported that they have had their Ghanian employees stealing from them.

When they started watching ovre their employees, many proclaimed that the Lebanese were racists. I've actual been given free food and made friends with several Lebanese business owners in Ghana, I'm a Black woman.

Anyone who’s ever been to Ghana knows that they have a huge Lebanese population. Some people that have no idea of the history of the length of time that the Lebanese have been in Ghana are ignorant to assume that they’re not Ghanian citizens.

Most of them are Ghanian citizens because they’ve been there more than 13-years and invested more than 100,000 USD in the country.

Israeli airstrikes hit Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon and Syria amid fears of widening war

Israel also struck two mosques as a refugee camp in Gaza and two airports in Syria where numerous Iranian proxy groups operate. Fires broke out on the northern border with Lebanon. Israel says it struck several Hezbollah targets of the incoming missile fire.

To the south of the Egyptian Rafah Border Crossing, a second convoy of 19 aid trucks and to Gaza. They carried humanitarian supplies, but did not appear to carry any badly needed fuel.

The UN’s agency and Gaza said they would run out of fuel in three days without more and larger deliveries. They also warned that hospitals already stretched to the limit would no longer be able to operate at all.

The Hamas run-Gaza health ministry said in a statement that the pace of aid will not change the reality of the medical response. I put this to IDF spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner.

Why is it so slow for that aid to come in?

Living in Ghana, it's sad that there are over 20,000 Arab-Lebanese in Ghana that work hard making Ghana a shopping and food pleasure. They're not always given attention from the country's government for some reason. When they've come to invest to help boast the economy.

As a Black woman it was odd that I was shown more respect and love in Ghana from the Lebanese instead of the Ghanians.

One man, a Lebanese cafe owner, said he's a Christian and left the country many years ago with his family because there was a group forcing the Lebanese to convert to Islam. He told me about his life there and said that the country was a majority Christians until some faced brutality for not converting.

It's disheartening that several of the Lebanese in Ghana are Christians and Ghana hasn't set-up a prayer service with them. This is often the one sided behavior in the country.

It was just a week ago that the President Akufo-Addo proclaimed that Ghana stands with Israel and Ukraine. He was on one of his trip to the United States, news of his comments fell on deaf ears not many people were too concerned.

However it's clear to see that Ghanians agree with him, there haven't been many postings from Ghana news outlets displaying any outrage about the deaths in Gaza, Lebanon or Syria.
