I got in an argument with a woman on Facebook who I have now blocked who posted a story proven false by Snopes about how religious freedom is being attacked here. Yeah, yeah, I know. I shouldn't get triggered... she posted....

“Worth reading

A young 17-year-old boy was shopping in St. Cloud, MN, at a sports store, called Shields. The cashier was a lady who was wearing a headscarf. The 17-year-old was wearing a necklace with a cross on it. She told him he would have to put his cross under his shirt because it offended her. He told her he would not do that. Then he told her that he thought she should take her headscarf off. She then called for the manager. The manager came out and told the 17-year-old to just put his cross under his shirt and everything would be fine. The boy again refused to do so and at that point he left the items he had intended to purchase and walked out.

Several customers who had been in line behind him had heard the conversation and also left their carts full of items and walked out of the store!! KUDOS TO THE 17-YEAR-OLD!!!

We all know we are in some very changing times, and given the same circumstances, I pray we would all have the courage this young lad had. We spent a few minutes talking about the challenge we are facing for our first amendment right of religious freedom. (I have to wonder what's next? Are 'they' going to try to ban the jewelry store owners from selling

any jewelry with a cross on it?? WILL YOU HESITATE TO PASS THIS ON?? OR BE READY TO DEFEND YOUR RELIGIOUS RIGHTS!!! GOD BLESS YOU, AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

I copied this and I agree with the young boy if you agree copy and paste it let blow fb up with this”

Here is the Snopes link that I sent her stating that the story was false foolishly thinking she'd see she was in error, but no..... she attacked me.

Snopes article

I politely pointed this out to her, and she went all “Karen” on me and in so many words said it doesn’t matter if the story is false, it is about us supposedly losing our religious freedoms which is rubbish. Basically, her personal agenda has more credence than God’s word. Instead of being polite, removing the post, she attacked me.

The ninth commandment states very clearly that we are not to bear false witness against others even those if other religions.

Not to mention the numerous verses in The Bible which unequivocally state that we are not to lie about others. And to use God to perpetuate lies is basically an abomination. Shame on you @GaylaStewart

What the Bible states about false witness.

Proverbs 19:5

A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will not escape.

Exodus 23:1

“You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.

Proverbs 6:16-19

There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.

Mark 10:19

You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’”

Exodus 23:1-3

“You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness. You shall not fall in with the many to do evil, nor shall you bear witness in a lawsuit, siding with the many, so as to pervert justice, nor shall you be partial to a poor man in his lawsuit.

John 8:44

You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Revelation 21:8

But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

Exodus 20:16

“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

If anything should go viral on Facebook, it is this.

Written in honor of Gayla Stewart of Mabank, Texas. Your intolerance will live on forever.
