In the shadows of my trembling heart,

Lies a tale of battles fought,

A symphony of nerves and fears,

That plague my soul and shed my tears.

In crowded rooms, I stand alone,

Amidst a sea of faces unknown,

A thousand whispers fill the air,

But I'm trapped in my silent lair.

Anxiety, a relentless tide,

Sweeps me away, where I must hide,

A torrent of doubts, a storm of dread,

Inside my mind, where demons tread.

Every word I speak feels wrong,

My voice, a fragile, trembling song,

Each gaze upon me, a piercing stare,

I'm trapped within my own despair.

But within this struggle, I find strength,

A resilience that extends its length,

For in the depths of my anxious soul,

Empathy and kindness take control.

Through empathetic eyes, I see,

Others who share this silent plea,

A world of souls, afraid like me,

Bound together, seeking to be free.

Though my steps may falter, I still try,

To reach out, connect, and touch the sky,

For social anxiety, a heavy weight,

Can't hinder the dreams I cultivate.

With patience and understanding, I grow,

Finding courage in the ebb and flow,

In every stumble, I find my grace,

Embracing imperfection's sweet embrace.

So, let us walk this path, hand in hand,

A gentle reminder, we all understand,

That in the tapestry of humanity's range,

Social anxiety, too, can bring about change.

For in the heart of this anxious soul,

Lies empathy's flame, making us whole,

Together we'll rise, find solace and peace,

In a world where understanding finds release.
