**Security Issues:**
Nigeria's security landscape is complex, marked by various internal and external threats. The Boko Haram insurgency in the northeast has caused significant loss of life, displacement, and economic disruption since 2009. The government and military have made progress in combating the group, but sporadic attacks and kidnappings continue. In the Niger Delta, militancy and oil theft pose challenges to economic stability and environmental sustainability. Additionally, clashes between farmers and herders over land and resources have escalated, particularly in the Middle Belt region. The government continues to implement security reforms and strategies to address these multifaceted threats and promote peace.
