Southern Greek Mythology
Y’all know I’m crazy about the Greeks, have been since third grade when I did a report on Greece. I’ve reinterpreted some of the mythology: I reject the idea of Persephone as a goddess without agency: controlled by her husband half the year and her mother the other half? Nope. She is the queen of the underworld who left Kore behind when she took her rightful place, and she brings all of her attributes to the underworld, transforming it into a summer palace with terraced slopes and majestic gardens and baths. I’m putting the various pieces I’ve completed here for easy access to everything in this collection.

Who's the real Monster?. Content Warning.
Continuing to use Armstrong's body as a meat shield I patted the sand close to me. Ed slowly came to my side. Using both Armstrong's and my own body I made sure nobody had a clear shot to hit Ed. I didn't need to hear Eric's thoughts to know that if Ed got hurt there would be Hell to pay.

The Superior and SHIELD Later that afternoon, -having changed out of my uniform and into something a little more comfortable- I’m lounging on the couch, strumming on my guitar when three knocks hit the door, “Sam… I think the other Agent’s here.”

The burning chair
“ T.J. Hooker was my favorite cop show growing up,” Steve said. “Did you ever watch that? Oh, and I loved The ‘A’ Team , too! I dunno what it was about those shows. I suppose if I think about it, I can see how Hooker helped train younger cops while making things right in his city, and the A Team looked out for the underdog wherever they went. I always liked seeing people receive justice when they were wronged and correction when they did wrong. Those shows focused on values I held, even as a kid, and you couldn’t pry me away when they were on.”

The 6 am to NYC
Jake splashed into the Port Authority Bus Terminal approximately forty-five minutes behind schedule. They had made better time than expected, considering the multi-car accident he had to work his way around, plus the reduced speed everyone was driving at. None of that mattered now. He had gotten his passengers there safely, and that was what it was all about. Jake opened the door and stood at the bottom of the stairwell, offering a hand to anyone needing assistance. Most of them thanked him for getting them there safely, and two of his regulars even gave him five-dollar tips for getting them there without incident.
