"For the vast part of my life I have sought out truth, and the rise and fall of nations has taught me one very important fact. When all is said and done, most people do not want to know the truth at all, but cherish a lie that allows them sleep at night."

The Graveyard Hotel
I was led by Hermes, who I assumed to be the butler, down a long hallway. A hallway that seemed to go on forever, but it was the kind of "forever" I really didn't mind. The Cave Part 28
Word traveled fast in the goblin community. Every member of Dropdrip seemed intent on passing news as fast as it was in their hands. Faintly I could hear movement below, and creaks in the timbers as others on the second level moved about.

The Cave Part 26
"One night?" I asked, shocked. "It has been many weeks since I saw you in my sleep." My dark haired interrogator looked at me closely, her eyes flicking this way and that as she continued to hold my chin in her hand, as if picking up details about me with effortless grace. And yet, a troubled look began to chase away the fire in her gaze. Whatever she was seeing in me was not lining up with some previously held assumptions. I wanted to know what these were, but held still and waited for her to finish. I was not frightened so much as bewildered myself at the situation.
