The Wild Mermaid

Poseidon was going mad, and Charybdis was always there when the God of the Seas was mad; she was always up for some ultraviolence. The waves were like a maelstrom, and if they got much higher, a tsunami would happen, which would not be good for the seaside towns of the Mediterranean.

Why was this happening? The mermaid had rejected his advances and was riding on her powerful hippocampus (they named part of the brain after it) through the monstrous waves. She would never be tamed by some old god, and her friends were with her in the waves, showing where their loyalties lay.

The mermaid knew he would calm down eventually, and she was the one who chose her lovers; she was never chosen.

Her life was her own, and she was never dictated to by anyone.

She was The Wild Mermaid and would always be riding the waves, whether the sea was calm or wild like her.
