The Firebird

He had heard tales, but only half believed them, so after having drunk to much cheap wine in the Woodsman Tavern, he set off into the forest to find a feather from the firebird.

The tales said the feathers of the firebird cantained a magical fire that could light even the darkest places, and if you caught one, you could use it to light your room.

He did not expect to find anthing, but after a while he saw the firebird in a tree, its inner burning feathers making it look like a phoenix, although the firebird had a my mystical fire in its feathers.

He walked up to the fiand took a glowing feather from its tale. The firebird shook it's wings and taill and the settled once again. When it slept its brightness dimmed, but the feather he had taken still glowed brightly.

He made his way home and put the feather in a glass jar, and it then served as a lamp for him for many years.
