About the Book

Do you want to read a self-help book that can give you the tools to help you develop your growth mindset, if so, then you need to read Lewis Alerson’s Growth Mindset: The Door to Achieving More.

This 30-page nonfiction book was published on December 13, 2017, and was sold by Amazon Digital Services, LLC.

About the Author

Lewis is a passionate self-help author who wants to help people by educating them on how things can affect them negatively. His intent in writing this book is to give people the tools to help them. He plans on writing more books to do this. He has written other books including Weight Loss, Anxiety Management, Self-Discipline, Self-Esteem Improvement, and Emotional Intelligence.

Summary

In this book, you will learn about the following:

* About the founder of mindset and the reason behind it

* The Science of Growth Mindset

* Truth Behind Growth Mindset

* Benefits of Growth Mindset

* Transforming Your Mindset

* Developing your Growth Mindset

* The Conclusion

The Growth Mindset was founded over 30 years ago because a woman, Carol Dweck, and her colleagues wanted to understand the attitudes of their students towards failure.

In this book, you will learn that the mindset theory is not a theory but has scientific evidence that one can use towards their growth mindset.

Did you know that there are two different types of mindset? I didn’t until I read this interesting book. The two types are the growth mindset which believes that they can get smarter by practicing their skills and the fixed mindset believes that they can’t change their intelligence no matter how many times they practice.

The Benefits of Growth Mindset:

* Enjoy life more

* Improved self-esteem and self-confidence

* Ability to forgive

* Realistic Perception of Reality

* Increased resilience

* Regard setbacks as useful lessons

* Finding joy in processes

In this chapter on the benefits, you will find a section on each of these with information on them. You can find out about how to accomplish these.

Techniques:

* Embrace Imperfection

* Reframe your Perceptions

*Learn new things often

* Avoid seeking approval

* Value the process more

* Own your purpose

* Emphasize on your growth

* Reflect Regularly

If you want to learn how to do these techniques in your growth mindset, then you will need to read this book to find out.

My Thoughts

I love that this book has an easy and simple way of understanding what the author is conveying. The chapters are informative, it is easy to know when it is talking about something else. For example, in the chapter Developing Your Growth Mindset, the author has broken it down into paragraphs of each technique and the technique is in bold. I love this because it is easy to read.

I would recommend this book to those who love to read self-help books, those who want help solving their problems, those who are interested in personal transformation, and those who just love to read about it.
