Every woman's dream is to have glowing skin. Nobody wants sagging, uneven, or dull skin. Pollution, UV rays, hectic schedules, and a lack of a nutritional diet all contribute to dull, dehydrated, and damaged skin. Though we may not all be blessed with flawless skin, we all have access to an Indian kitchen. Indian kitchens are hidden gems. Every item in an Indian kitchen has immense value when it comes to dispensing nutrients, starting with the tiniest of ingredients. Since most of our foods are based on Ayurvedic concepts, they have powerful medicinal properties that can be used to improve your glow game, ladies.

Sheet masks and masks in tubes and jars are fantastic, but they aren't your only choice. Miss Pooja Goel, the founder of Khoobsurat and known as one of the best makeup artists in Delhi. We share some basic ingredients found in any Indian kitchen that can be combined to produce beautiful, glowing skin. You're in for a treat if you're wondering which ingredients will help you achieve glowing skin. We've compiled a comprehensive list of foods that will help you shine.

1- Turmeric: Turmeric, also known as Haldi, is one of the most widely used spices in Indian cuisine. Every part of the world, from North to South, uses turmeric in their daily food preparation. And this is precisely what you need for flawless skin. Turmeric has amazing anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that help you get rid of acne while also giving you a natural glow. Brides and grooms are doused in Haldi before the wedding for a reason! Turmeric reduces the damaging effects of free radicals on the skin and boosts collagen production, making it smooth and supple.

How to use it: Combine turmeric, milk, and grams of flour to make a simple DIY mask (besan). Make a thick paste with half a teaspoon of turmeric, 2 tablespoons of gram flour, and some milk. For a gentle glow, apply it to your face for 20 minutes and then rinse it off with water.

2- Cinnamon: Another from the spice cabinet! Cinnamon, also known as dalchini powder, is an excellent ingredient for people who have dull, damaged skin. Cinnamon's antifungal, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties make it an effective treatment for acne and skin blemishes. It also increases blood flow to the skin's surface, resulting in hydrated skin. Cinnamon, on the other hand, should be used with caution since too much of it will dry out your skin. As a result, you must always combine it with a hydrating ingredient and use it in very small amounts.

How To use: mash 1 ripe banana with 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder. To make a thick paste, combine all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl. If you have dry skin, you can also add 2-3 drops of honey. Apply this paste to your face as a mask and leave it on for 10 minutes to dry. Wash it off until it's dry to expose glowing skin.

3- Lemon: Everyone's favorite citrus fruit! This ingredient is so effective at giving your skin a healthy glow that it can be consumed as well as used in external masks. There are several applications for external applications. They have a high vitamin C content, which helps to heal dull and dead skin. Lemon, like cinnamon, needs to be used in moderation. Since it's acidic, too much of it will damage your skin and make you more vulnerable to UV rays. If you have a tan and want to get rid of it, a facemask made with yogurt and lemon is the way to go.

How to Make: Combine half a teaspoon of lemon juice and 2 teaspoons of plain yogurt in a mixing bowl and stir well. If you have sunburns, add some rose water to help soothe them. Combine the ingredients in a bowl and apply to your face and neck. After 20 minutes, rinse and apply a moisturizer. If you have oily skin, combine 1 tablespoon of organic honey, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric, and a few drops of lemon juice in a small bowl. Combine the ingredients and apply them to your forehead. Leave it on for 15 minutes before rinsing it off.
