Multi-tasking with Lipsticks

‘I have too many lipsticks!’ said no girl ever! Lipstick is that one makeup product that every girl is in love with and is super possessive about too. No matter what your other makeup looks like or you may not even have any makeup on, lipstick is that one thing that has the ability to change your entire game.

Lipsticks make your pout look its best but have you ever tried doing your entire makeup with only lipsticks? Now you might wonder if that is possible? Well, it totally is and in fact, it looks absolutely amazing!

Still confused? Let me share a few hacks and tricks in which you can use your best lipstick in multiple ways.

Lip Gloss

Admit it, we have all had our ‘lip gloss’ phase during our pre-teen and teen days. Lip glosses are subtle and yet so gorgeous. You might own a zillion lipsticks now but lip glosses have seemed to take a back seat. But sometimes, nothing is more soothing than fresh glossy lips with a hint of color.

Here’s how you can create your own lip gloss with your favorite lipstick. Take your favorite lipstick and apply a little amount on your lips with your finger so that the color is very mild, almost like a tint. Now, take your lip balm or some petroleum jelly and apply with over your lipstick. And voila! Your lip gloss is on point!

Eye Shadow

You might have the prettiest eye shadow palette with all the vibrant colors. But sometimes you wish you had that nude pink shade, right? Well, you can actually! Take your favorite pink nude lipstick and start off by applying a little on the outer corner of your eye lids and blend your way in. Your pretty pink nude base is done. Now take your best shimmer eye shadow shade and tap in a little at a time on the center of your lid. Finish off with your highlighter in the inner corner of your eyes and on your brow bones. You can also add in a little eyeliner for that extra drama!

Cream Blush

Nothing like lightly blushed nose and cheeks! This makeup step is something that can make you look fresh, glowing and pretty instantly. Though powder blushes have now seemed to become a thing of yesterday, cream blush is absolutely in the game. Since cream blushes are relatively new in the market, they are a bit on the pricey side! But don’t worry we are here to rescue you, and yes you guessed it right! You can use your very lipstick for your blush. You can pick anything from a nude pink to a gorgeous red, because lipstick blends in like melted butter into your skin and makes your blush look real. But make sure you are using a moisturizing lipstick rather than a matte one. This will ensure seamless blending.

Now, all you need to do is take your favorite pink, peach or red lipstick and apply 2-3 spots on your cheek bones and a little on your nose bridge. Now, start blending it out in an outward direction and watch magic happen!

Contour

Just like your cream blush, if you go on to purchase a contour palette or a contour stick, it is going to cost you a bomb. And you know that we are not kidding! So, what are we going to do? Lipsticks to the rescue. Yes, lipsticks in shades of browns and dark browns work fabulously well for a contour substitute. You need to use your best lipstick in the shade of brown just the way you would use your contour stick and stroke out lines under your cheek bones, jawline, forehead and nose bridge. Once you are done, start blending out using your beauty blender or blender brush. You are totally going to love the results!

Color Corrector

Yes! You read that right! You can also use your lipstick like a color corrector for your dark circles. You might have purchased that orange lipstick because you had a major orange lipstick kinda phase. But now that orangey thing is just lying around? Well, it is now time to put it to use.

Begin with your skincare regime first and then follow it up with your eye crème. Once you are done, take your orange lipstick and apply it on your dark circle areas and also on areas on your face that tends to be darker than the rest of your face. After applying, make sure you blend it out really well and it looks almost peach-like and not orange. Follow it up but applying your foundation and then your concealer on areas where you have applied your color corrector and you’re done!

The benefit of color correction is that it will make your base look flawless and also won’t make your makeup turn greyish due to oxidization. Your makeup will remain as it is, flawless and beautiful, for the longest duration.

We hope these tricks help you with your amazing lipstick collection!
