Finding the Right Brush
The Evolution of hair
There are all types of people in the world, which means there are all kinds of hair in the world. With that in mind, finding a hairbrush to suit certain hair, is almost as big of a challenge as finding the right shampoo and conditioner to use. Like the world is made up of many different hairs, of all different cultures, there are many kinds of brushes in the world. The most commonly used brushes in the world are the paddle brush, the vented brush, and of course the ceramic round brush. Not to mention the Aero pick, most commonly used with Afros-type hair.
Brushes can be used by themselves or with a combination of combs and different serums or oils to help keep the hair healthy. In many different cultures, they have different combinations of hair care. In many cultures oil whether olive oil, coconut oil, Moroccan oil, or Argan oil. The use of oil hair massages has been used for dry scalp to develop the hair follicles to strengthen and lengthen hair, and of course creams and leave-in serums to develop the health of hair. Argan oil is full of vitamins and things that develop both the health of hair and inspire shine in the hair. While a lot of salons explain that leave-ins and oils are beneficial in hair growth. Curls, straight hair, and even the beautiful hair of the African-American man or woman all need the help of brushes and combs both.
Type of Brushes
Paddle brushes have been around for a while and are meant for long straight hair, for detangling and rough drying. The vented brush is meant for quick blow-drying and to create volume. The round brush is also known as the ceramic metal round brush is specifically used to dry and style curls. The type of curls that are developed most commonly for the blowouts in Salons. The brushes are an important part of styling hair but also keeping your hair healthy. Detangling is an important part of styling hair. While there are many shampoos, conditioners, serums, and creams that are used for the purpose of detangling. If your brush doesn’t assist with the detangling, you end up with a clumpy, knotty mess. Absolutely no one, no matter their age wants to deal with that.
In the past year’s people may have scheduled hair care appointments, to deal with the types of hair no one can really deal with. In the aftermath of one lockdown after the other, we have gotten used to having to deal with our own haircare the way we have had to learn to do everything else.
While a lot of people favor the comb over the brush, there really is no benefit between the two. While combs are useful for styling and separating your hair the way you want it to be. Whether that is a center-part or a side part. It is always helpful to use a combination of the two, no matter if your styling your hair or just brushing it out after a wash. I’ve found a benefit to washing my hair either every three days or as soon as my hair becomes oily. This has the benefit of keeping my hair clean and going through my hair routine several times a week.
Everyone has different ways of dealing with their own hair, whether that takes one brush or several. Different types of creams and serums within their hair, or vegan-inspired hair routines. Brushes play an important part in hair care, and alternating between different brushes serve the same result as switching shampoos and conditioners depending on what season you happen to be in.
