For years, beauties have been tweezing, plucking, shading, filling, and shaping, all in the pursuit of the perfect brow. From Cara Delevingne's iconic full set of brows to Kylie Jenner's perfectly arched glamour brows, fans have frantically spent hours following tutorials dedicated to reshaping their famous features.

Yet in a trend twist, no one saw coming, celebrity eyebrows have done a disappearing act. Well, they haven't disappeared, but they've been bleached to the point of almost nothing.

Sure, bleached eyebrows have been around for decades, but this bold look was once reserved for the edgiest fashion stars like Madonna, Lady Gaga, and Miley Cyrus. Today, most mainstream fashionistas are fading their eyebrows and making headlines.

On October 1, Kylie ditched her dark eyebrows and posted a series of sexy photos on Instagram showing her lying in bed and eating grapes in her underwear. The striking look sparked immediate attention in the comments section, with one fan saying, "No eyebrows are about to become a thing.

The Kardashian star is hardly the only member of her family to try out the trend, and when Kim Kardashian was photographed for the cover of the September issue of Interview in August, the Internet was in an uproar. Surprisingly, the talk wasn't about her bare butt or her boyfriend, but her debut eyebrows, which were almost unrecognizable.

She SHU: "Since I bleached my eyebrows, I've been stopped less often on the street."

Kendall Jenner also shocked fans back in May at the 2022 Met Gala when she walked the red carpet with bleached eyebrows and a Prada ensemble that included a sheer crop top and an all-black dress.

Julia Fox debuted her sheer eyebrows on her Instagram Story that same month and confessed that the look helped her stay incognito. She wrote, "Since I bleached my eyebrows, I get stopped on the street less often." As much as I love you guys, I enjoy the false sense of anonymity."

Bleached eyebrows were seen everywhere on the runway, with Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid sporting the look at the Versace Fall/Winter 2022 show during Milan Fashion Week this year, and at the Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2022 show in New York.

She SHU: "Since I bleached my eyebrows, I've been stopped less often on the street."

After debuting bleached eyebrows during New York Fashion Week last September, Amelia Hamlin decided to keep the look, making it her signature style statement.

This year, Maisie Williams also drastically changed her style after "fighting" against traditional notions of beauty by cutting her hair into a mullet and bleaching her eyebrows." For a long time I struggled with wanting to look like the traditional image of what people thought I was beautiful, and I really got lost in that, and then I cut my hair into a mullet, and I'm not even going to try anymore, I'm just going to do something that I think works for me, something that's still very different from what I've been doing, but it feels right.

For her permanently bleached eyebrows, she says." When you're known for something that feels disconnected from where you want to be, every public appearance is an opportunity to take a step toward that destination."

She SHU: "Since I bleached my eyebrows, I've been stopped less often on the street."

As the biggest and brightest stars continue to embrace the transformation, social media is capturing the trend, with the hashtags #bleachedbrows and #bleachedeyebrows racking up more than 139 million and 75 million views, respectively, on TikTok, proving that the buzz about being different from eyebrows isn't going away anytime soon.

Eyebrow tattooing is a popular method for young women to fix their eyebrows and change the shape of their eyebrows to make them appear more beautiful and slender. However, eyebrow tattooing can also cause unwanted side effects if not done properly. If you use improper or non-compliant products, the materials used for eyebrow tattooing can contain heavy metals that can irritate the local skin and cause hyperpigmentation. Inappropriate materials and products can also stimulate local skin allergies and cause red itchy symptoms, and even improper operation of eyebrow tattooing, coupled with improper use of pharmaceutical materials, can even damage the hair follicles under the skin, causing local growth deformities and disorders. The beauty of the eyebrows may turn ugly and bring unwanted side effects, so it is important to think twice before getting a tattoo.
