2 Acne-Clearing Face Masks
Two Face Masks to Help Clear up Your Acne
Okay, let's be honest. Acne sucks. Whether you're just starting to get it or have been dealing with it for 9 years, it sucks, and you're probably like me and want rid of it.
So today I'm going to show you two facemask recipes which will help you in clearing up your skin. These can be included in a pampering routine or just a weekly treatment you do to help your skin out.
All ingredients are easy to get ahold of. If you can't find an item in a store, you can easily find them online to keep yourself stocked up!
Charcoal Mask:
You will need:
- Activated Charcoal
- Green Clay Powder
- Water
- (Optional) Honey
Take equal amounts of activated charcoal and green clay powder into a bowl—you don't need a lot if you're making a mask just for you! If your charcoal comes in capsules, use one capsule and the equivalent of green clay powder.
Add small amounts of water and mix until the paste is to your preferred thickness. Note: too much water will make this too runny and it will not sit on your skin properly. A thicker consistency works best.
If you're adding honey, add it now. Mix everything together and apply.
Leave the mask on for 20 minutes, or until it fully dries.
You will be able to tell when the mask dries when you use just water. If you use honey, it will remain the same colour.
Wash off with lukewarm water, pat your face dry, and apply your moisturiser.
Honey and Cinnamon Mask:
You will need:
- Honey (organic for the most benefits)
- Cinnamon
Take a teaspoon's worth of powdered cinnamon and a teaspoon amount of honey and mix together in a bowl.
Apply the mask to your face and allow to sit for 10-20 minutes.
When washing off, use small circular motions to ensure all the mask comes off.
Pat dry and apply moisturiser.
Enjoy your super soft skin and watch those spots start to clear up!
Note:
- Use the charcoal mask once a week, at most.
- The honey mask can be used up to two-three times a week depending on skin's sensitivity.

I hope you enjoyed reading this article and hope to give the masks a try! These are good fun if you're making it for yourself, or for you and others!
Both masks take only minutes to make and mix up and give you lovely soft skin! Just remember to pat your skin dry and apply your usual moisturisers after!
Green clay can be drying so it's best to use good moisturising products after!
