Where Can You Find Great Music in Western New York?

Western New York is an amazing fertile musical “farmland” that just seems to grow great bands, great musicians and great music scenes. The scenes are vast and plentiful, and they range from jazz to blues and from punk to rock and to alternative to rap, with a little singer/songwriter thrown in for good measure. Live music is doing fine and well in and outside of Buffalo.

Music clubs and places to hear live music are springing up everywhere. Places to hear live music can be very different from one another though. Some places attract musical acts that are often akin to adult contemporary or soft folk based while others tend to bring in the next Led Zeppelin wannabe. You need to know what you are looking for and what club offers it. Do you want a full-fledged musical experience with all the volume and drama that comes with it? Or do you want place to hear live music, enjoy cocktails but still have a good conversation with friends? The Byrd House in Orchard Park is the latter.

Nestled in the village of Orchard Park, The Byrd House has what they call “Live Music Saturdays.” Saturday nights attracts a wide variety of bands to the Byrd House all with one thing in common. They are all good. The bands are extremely well vetted, talented, fun and a lot of the time, simply amazing. The owners have very high standards for who plays there and who does not. Customer satisfaction and fun is paramount it seems.

One of these great bands is Krossfire. Krossfire is a solid four-piece, low volume, rock and pop band that knows how to bring out the energy in a crowd and pull out all the stops with your favorite songs. With a polished look and refined sound mirroring millions-selling artists, the band takes clubs to the next level. They bill themselves as WNY's Premier "Variety rock and country dance band", playing all the music you enjoy!

With Krossfire, we are talking about experienced musicians. Vince Brough is their lead vocalist. His voice is solid and unique. Vince also plays guitar while Ken Jennetti backs up Vince on vocals and plays a solid bass. Howie Orlando vocally helps as well and plays the keys while Ricky is on drums.

If you like to go out on a Saturday night for live music and some food with great cocktails, then check out the Byrd House and Krossfire. Krossfire is a regular visitor to the Byrd House, and has a great following. So, expect to have fun with a lot of your friends and neighbors. This is what makes this musical venue and band a great combination.

Krossfire hits the Byrd House stage at 9:00 PM on September 28th, 2019. It is always good to get there about an hour early and find your spot. The bartenders and servers are top notch and will add to your experience.
