Hi all!

Welcome back to Tunes to Get Grooving To! This week brings us to week 26 of my music updates, which is half a years’ worth of new tunes and some of my faves too. It also brings us to the last installment of this series. However, after this I will be back on July 1st to bring you The New Groove, which will be monthly updates on all the new tunes!

So, without further ado, here is the last 5 tracks of Tunes to Get Grooving To…

1. “Hangover Halo” - Gin Wigmore

Gin Wigmore is a singer/songwriter who has been creating music since 2008. Her last album was released back in 2018, and recently has released a new single which is the first music she has published in the last 2 years. She is no longer with a record label and has stated it “feels f*cking awesome” to have her own independence.

“Hangover Halo” is her newest single and is the first of many songs that she is releasing every six weeks. The style of the song is similar to her old songs, which just proves her vocals and her talent is timeless. With a mix of country and rock, including pop, her genre of music is simply unique, and I love that. 10/10 recommend all of her tunes!

2. “Peaked” – EDEN

EDEN, previously known as The Eden Project, is an Irish singer whose genre ranges from indie pop to electronic dance music. He is the record producer of his songs, as well as being a singer/songwriter. His best-known song is “XO”, which is from his days of being The Eden Project. I’ve been a fan of his music for a while, so it’s great to see that he’s releasing new music.

“Peaked” gives me psychedelic pop vibes, and I’m here for it. It is an instant dance tune, which has an amazing beat. EDEN does not disappoint with this, after his “2020” album, they are more than delighted to have new music from this guy! He’s definitely underrated so go check him out.

3. “Strike” – Call Me Loop

Call Me Loop is a young, up-and-coming pop artist who deserves to be listened to! She started her music career back in 2016, but only recently has reached mainstream fame as MTV made her their “push artist” back in February 2019. Many say she embodies the perfect qualities of a pop star as she has a vibrant presence with infectious hooks and tracks.

“Strike” is her second single of 2020 and it’s a bop. I have it on repeat as it’s catchy! This is definitely another one that will instantly have you dancing. Everyone has been saying this song is a banger with a killer chorus and they are RIGHT! Even if your 2020 summer will be sent at home because of lockdown, this is still a major summer tune.

4. “Watermelon Sugar” – Harry Styles

This man doesn’t need an introduction. If you don’t know Harry Styles then you simply don’t know music. He is currently on a winning streak with his new music, and he’s killing it. His pop music is perfect, and I don’t think he’s made a bad song so far!

Truth be told, I’m in love with this song. “Watermelon Sugar” is so catchy, I’ve been singing the same lyrics over and over for about a week. It’s a fun and upbeat song that you cannot hate. Also, I love the music video! And a big FUN FACT here: Harry Styles actually owns a watermelon farm.

5. “Back Up Plan” – Rare Americans

Rare Americans is a two-man band consisting of Canadian brothers who “sing for characters who rarely take the straight path”. They’re funky and state they write catchy music because they like catchy music. This pretty undiscovered band definitely deserves the new attention they’re getting from their new song!

“Back Up Plan” is actually from the new Scooby Doo movie, “Scoob!”, but I have got to say its really catchy! This song gives big summer vibes with it’s pop tune & even if you don’t like Scooby Doo it’s just a good song in general. It’s super fun and happy, which is exactly the type of song we need in our lives right now.
