Those Who Rave In The Dark

Beware of my Halloween party! You're invited, but be warned, because you're gonna have a bad time.

There's no way we can host a Halloween party without the proper songs to go along with it. Music can make or break an experience. That's why I've made a playlist to give you a reality check through your skull.

Fair warning though, you may not recognize most of these songs. As many of my real life acquaintances have so very kindly pointed out, I'm an uncultured swine who doesn't listen to "real" music. My musical taste consists mostly of video game soundtracks. That's not gonna stop me

1. Shambhala (Area 17 Redux) (Rain) - Fire Emblem Three Houses

What better way to start off a Halloween party than with a little dubstep? Given the context for this song, it's pretty fitting. In Fire Emblem Three Houses, this song plays when raiding a technologically advanced underground organization called Those Who Slither In The Dark, who are working in the shadows to bring about the downfall of the Church of Seiros. They are responsible for many of the game's tragedies, and some of its members even look like undead monsters. Since they are often associated with dubstep, it may be more fitting to call them Those Who Rave In The Dark. Regardless of what you call them, don't let them crash this party.

2. Menace - Fire Emblem Awakening

This one is a bit less of a rave, but it brings about the ominous feeling of a purple zombie with visibly raunchy breath deciding which side of the axe is better for killing. Does it want to behead you in one swing, or will it beat you unconscious? Stay alert and on your toes when this one plays.

3. Your Best Nightmare - Undertale

The zombies have dissipated, but now you're under assault by a... flower? Nope, this time it's a television with eternally growing vines for limbs and it already has six human souls. One more and everyone's doomed. Avoid it lest you become its seventh victim. The souls will try to resist and give you a few moments to breathe, but you'd best be ready to get back into the action.

4. Spider Dance - Undertale

It seems Pokémon taught us one thing - bugs beat plants. Time for a spider infestation! They're slinging webs left and right and all around trying to snag unsuspecting humans on the dance floor and take their life (or their wallets.) It's your money or your life with this one.

5. Dummy! - Undertale

Who needs bug spray when you have money to buy your life? Oh wait, we're all out of money. Looks like the hospital bills from the previous songs took a bite out of our budget. Better not let any more injuries happen with this next one. We've got ghosts, dummies, and missiles inbound!

6. Bonetrousle - Undertale

This skeleton is just here to party, and maybe accidentally capture a human along the way. When the dance floor starts flashing blue, just stop in place and nobody will get hurt. Here's some advice for fighting him: don't. He may be a human-hunting fanatic, but thankfully he's not very good at hunting humans.

7. Megalovania (Smash Bros Remix) - Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Why didn't you take my advice for the previous song? Why'd you attack him? He was just trying to have fun. Actually, I've got a better question. Do you wanna have a bad time? Because if you hit the play button on this next song, you're really not gonna like what happens next. Here's another skeleton, and this one isn't pulling any punches. Why'd you go and kill his brother? You brought this upon yourself, you dirty murderer.
