The Monster Mash-Up

Guys and ghouls, this is your formal invitation to the Monster Mash-Up! A haunted house party full of Halloween-y tunes!

Grab yourself a Bloody Mary, don't forget to bring a spooktacular treat to snack on, and remember the costume contest is at the end of the night!

The Monster Mash-Up haunted house has three rooms full of frightening and funky jams, although I have to warn you...enter if you dare!

THE CLASSICS ROOM

"Ghostbusters" by Ray Parker Jr.

Step inside this classic Halloween room and start the party right with the Ghostbusters theme-tune. It's fun and upbeat and it's not a Halloween playlist until you have this song on it. Sorry, it's like the law or something.

"Highway To Hell" by AC/DC

This song is the perfect Halloween song, especially if you're thinking about dressing up as the Devil this year! It's a classic tune, and personally always reminds me of one of the spookiest shows I loved - "Supernatural". Harness your inner Dean Winchester and rock out this Halloween!

Although we could spend HOURS in The Classics room, let's move through the creepy hallway and reach our next room...

THE MYTH, THE LEGEND...THE MONSTERS ROOM

"Vampire" by Dominic Fike

Straight up the lyrics tell you everything you need to know about who's at The Monster Mash-Up: "I only showed up to tell you , everyone at this party's a vampire". It's a catchy bop and definitely a fun one to dance to!

"(Don't Fear) The Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult

This one could have been in The Classics room too, but the reaper is an underrated character IMO so this tune is going in The Monsters room and if you don't like it, the haunted house will make you disappear...okay? All evil jokes aside, this song is in my Halloween playlist every single year and I love it. So spooky.

After all that, I think it's time to head over into another room to some funky new tunes...

THE SPOOPY VIBES ROOM

"Raise Hell" by Dorothy

Do you want to feel like a bad b*tch in your boogie man outfit? A daringly handsome Dracula or a wickedly hot witch? Then this is the song for you! It brings the spice into the spooky season!

"Emperor's New Clothes" by Panic! At The Disco

Don't panic, but this song may be a new classic. It's got great spooky vibes and the costume is the music video is very impressive! If you can beat that make-up you might just win the costume contest at the end of the night...🎃

And so, that's all the rooms in the haunted house! Believe me there are just some rooms you don't want to go into...unless you're happy to be possessed, of course. Now my spooky friends, it's time to enjoy the rest of the night and don't forget it wouldn't be a Monster Mash-Up without the very song that deserves to be on every Halloween playlist...

"The Monster Mash" by Bobby Pickett

I love this song and it's an absolute classic but the one thing that bothers me is that this song is about 'The Monster Mash' and it isn't 'The Monster Mash' itself...it makes you wonder what it truly sounds like!
