K-pop rookies IVE score an 11/10 with debut song "Eleven"
Most K-pop fans would agree that 2021 was a weird year for girl groups. There were some great highs–like veterans Brave Girls going viral, rookies STAYC delivering two of the catchiest bops of the year with "ASAP" and "Stereotype," and Red Velvet making their long-awaited comeback–and some crushing lows including controversies, long hiatuses, and a lot of disbandements. One of the most talked about which was the disbandement of chart-topping girl group IZ*ONE who took their final bow in April. Created on the third season of Mnet's controversial survival show "Produce 101" as a temporary group, we all knew IZ*ONE's disbandment was coming, but the time flew and it didn't make the sting any less painful.

'All Too Well (10 minute version) Analysed
With the release of the 10 minute version of All Too Well, us Swifties have been gifted new lyrics to pick apart, and pick apart we shall. In case you are unfamiliar, it details the breakdown of her relationship with actor Jake Gyllenhaal in an emotional outpour more potent than any other breakup song- and I would argue this song, like many of her others, are much more than your bog-standard breakup song. Miss Swift has an uncanny ability for storytelling, giving a full insight into both her emotions, and the surrounding context.

A Ranking of Taylor's Swift's Red (Taylor's Version) Album
This is my review of Taylor Swifts re-released Red album and how I feel about each of the tracks listed. I left out a review for the two repeat songs ("State of Grace and "All Too Well") because I felt they were too similar overall to compare to each other and the other songs as a whole. I think I was first exposed to the genius of Nigel Blackwell when I heard "All I Want For Christmas is a Dukla Prague Away Kit" by his band Half Man Half Biscuit . Nigel’s titles often skewed more famous song titles but are filled with the observations of minutiae in the mundanities of everyday British life from the 1980’s to today.
