BLESSING COOLPublished 6 days ago in BeatFuneral - Arcade Fire's First Noise
Twenty years... I am not sure why I listened to the album again, but there I was, on my way to work, looking through my saved music and I found 'Funeral,' the first full-length album by Montréal's own Arcade Fire.

Light Up The Sky
This is my response to Chloe Rose Violet's Song promt. You are supposed to pick a song, and tell your own story through it. At least that's the interpretation I took from it. Maybe you will find your own! This is her original post if you would like to check it out.

I got the idea for this writing challenge and after I wrote it all out I felt a million different things. Basically, you take a song and delve into the lyrics. I used the whole song because I wanted to but you could take just a few stanzas and write more based on that.

Note: I had this in mind as the anniversary of John Lennon's death approached, but I never thought it would coincide with the poem I left here. A nice touch, doncha think? ;)

Madchester
Do you remember Madchester? Maybe I am getting too nostalgic in my old age, but I have been thinking about that very brief gap of time when the city of Manchester was the focus of most of my attention, at least as a musical and cultural force. For a city with so many different bands and sounds in its history, it might seem strange to just pick one moment, but I am, as I said, nostalgic…and old. Spotify Wrapped 2023
Y'all it's that time of year, anticipated by many a Spotify user. Wrapped first started in 2016, although a less developed version "Year in Music" had been premiered the year before. Wrapped gives users a look at the music they listen to from January 1st to October 31st, which, at least for me, is usually a moment to be surprised (or not).
