Cupid has been cancelled this year!

I'm not one to make excuses, but I'm sure we can all agree on blaming Covid-19 for ruining our Valentine's day this year. If there is ANY holiday that should be neutralized in the name of Corona it is definitely Valentine's day. This playlist should lend a helping hand to anyone who feels left out, downhearted, or just downright cramped by the restrictions of Covid-19.

CAUTION: You Are Now Entering the Friend-Zone

1. Just a Friend-Biz Markie

Most of us have found ourselves unknowingly trapped inside the mystifying borders of the Friend-Zone. Everything seems to be going just as planned and before you know it, you're just a friend. Biz Markie reminds us of how a relationship, or 2020, can start off seemingly great and increasingly became more regrettable.

LOCKDOWN

2. Akon ft. Styles P- Locked Up

I know we all remember Akon's smash hit and prayed we would never have to realize what it felt like to be LOCKED UP. However, Covid-19 has helped provide millions of us with this exact experience and without any end in sight to be seen.

Everything Isn't Always Black and White

3. My Chemical Romance- I Don't Love You

From misunderstandings, to nasty arguments, or just plain loss of interest, break-ups are a misfortune that have made Valentine's day a nuisance for many of us. My Chemical Romance did an amazing job encapsulating what it's like to get the short-end of the stick when we part ways with someone.

Shorts or Longs?

4. Midland-Burn Out

Sometimes there's just nothing we can do to prevent things from going south. (See what I did there?) Midland has been a surprisingly refreshing sound in a genre that is infamous for post break-up songs. Make sure you stock up on cigarettes this Valentine's day, you're gonna need 'em.

I definitely will never forget the Jheri Curl!

5. Johnny Taylor- Too Many Memories

Ever so often we run into that special someone who gives us memories that last us a lifetime and more. If anything is going to drive you over the edge this Valentine's, it's definitely going to be remembering all the good ones you had before.

All things considered, I don't think spending this Valentine's day solo is the worst idea for most of us! With a pandemic that is rising in case numbers exponentially across the U.S., A little less love, and a lot more distance could be a good thing. So hop on the bandwagon, fire up your favorite speaker, and let's allow Covid-19 to take the blame this year!
