The Soulful Vocals

There are hundreds of singers out there, but what makes Tamara stand out are her soulful vocals. Her voice is like music to the ears. Her tunes catch every beat of the heart, and her songs simply make you feel that they were written for you only.

She uses no fancy acronyms or words to convey her heartfelt message through her songs. The beauty of Tamara’s music lies in her wise choice of words, beautiful thoughts portrayed through brilliant music, and write ups. The soul this lady puts into her songs has allowed her to be loved by millions out there, trying to connect with what she has to deliver, and she has become an inspiration for many.

Some people are born talented, blessed with vocals that are beautiful and melodious. It does not take them time to realize their true talent and thus, in the yesteryear, such a gem was born and named Tamara L. Wilson.

A lady who is inspirational, she is a singer/songwriter with magic in not only her vocals, but also her hands and her style of crafting a song, which allows her to create masterpieces that are beyond amazing. This vocal sensation started out singing as a fun hobby with her dad and grandpa, without any prior professional training in the field. And her determination to share her love and her music keeps motivating and pushing her to write songs; even with so little training, she is still a natural. Tamara's music brings a positive vibe to spread the Love!

Tamara writes,

'I have been in and out of music my whole life. It's my Grandpa and Dad's fault! They got me started singing when I was just a little girl with those down-home sing-a-longs, as they played their guitars and sang country music. My first party! So, here I am again, gotta do it. No accolades to brag about really...I just love music and give it what I've got! Thanks for listening!

As I grew up, I sang locally in South Carolina in my 20's, did the Marriott circuit in my 30's, went to a community college in Mesa, AZ in my 40's where I took my first classes in music including recording and piano. That's when I really started writing, as soon as my hands hit the keys.

'Paradise' and 'Everything To Me' were my first songs I wrote on the piano, and they went out on my debut album 'Let's Get Something Started' released in 2010; re-released in 2018 as 'Paradise'. 'Paradise' did make it to the top 10 on a site called Soundclick (for singer/songwriter artists), out of about 20,000 songs in the pop category. My first EP 'Freedom' was released in 2018, my second EP 'Your Own Kind Of Beautiful' released in 2019, and my latest single 'Shelter In Place' has just been released May 2020, as a tribute to Governor Cuomo for his exceptional leadership during our unpresidented pandemic of Covid-19.

Now I write songs at home with a 24 track, a Shure 58, and a keyboard. That's where it all begins. I am fortunate to have a great team and I let Love lead the way! I feel a responsibility to share my music, and I am doing my best to share as much of my music as I can. My inspiration often comes from my meditation and prayer time, my personal experiences, and my sincere desire to help somebody, somewhere feel a little better. I hope my contribution to music brings a little more love to our world.
