Stop and Think For a Second

I have always looked at writing as a way to be able to give somebody the opportunity to understand fully whatever it is that I am feeling. It’s a way to make my thoughts tangible to others as well as myself I guess..

Most artists , I think feel this way.

Lately I have come across some of the most amazingly innovative and surprisingly undiscovered, talented artists. So much so, that I have literally had my jaw drop to the floor more than once over!

Some of these artists and their ability to make anybody, (and I don’t care who you are ) they can make anybody feel.

I think your personal interpretation of music and how you hear it and how you perceive it , is one of the coolest things that an artist can do. And probably hear from their fans at the same time.

The funny thing is that most of the time it’s probably not at all what the artist in fact was feeling or trying to portray.

But it’s that in which I think is the most fascinating about it. Because music , despite the diversity of it all , there is still the opportunity for individual perceptions to exist. And to be or have just as real of a meaning as the actual meaning originally did for the artist in the first place.

If you stop and think about that for a second it actually is a pretty interesting thought.

I’ve stated this before. About the possibility that there is no such thing as reality . Based off of the theory that we are all responsible for our own . Therefore making reality only exist to you and the way you perceive it to be.

And in all actuality it just isn’t possible for anyone else to ever really see hear or understand things “you’re way” to it’s entirety .

To say that you understand another person is one thing. But to actually understand is , for the most part , completely impossible!

Music is a great way to demonstrate all aspects and interpretations of what I just said.

The ability to think is almost being stripped away from us because of technology. Really, music seems to be the only thing left that can allow for individual perceptions to be created . Outside of the synthetic reality technology is trying to hold us all a prisoner too. So to speak.

Now this is going to sound dramatic. But, think about it before you judge.

Music is the only thing that we have left , for the most part , in order to evolve and ascend in terms of humanity .

Everything that you read and everything that you watch , the odds are that they are strategically placed for you to not only hear but also to read and see specific things to ensure you get whatever message needs to be delivered.

The artists .

The dreamers.

The music makers .

The mold breakers.

They are our only hope for the progression towards anything other than this “synthetic reality” I referenced above.

I’m other words , it is possible that the only thing standing between you and your freedom to think for yourself , is merely a song!

Now that is what I call both a precious and priceless gift!

So whatever you do , for Christ sake, let the artists sleep!

And please, don’t ever interrupt or stop singing that which lulls them. Even if you’ve all but forgotten the words .

It is imperative that you hold onto atleast the rhythm . Because if not, you may risk losing our purpose …

….Your reason. And the need to have a rhyme in the first place.
