Meet “DNORRI” : One of the music industry’s most exciting artists

Let me start by introducing a Music Star.

He go by the name “DNORRI”, which happens to be part of his middle name. He and his dad decided on using his middle name during the early part of his music career. He felt it was different and sound pretty dope if you ask me. Lol Why not!?

DNoRRi is a rising artist/songwriter from the south side of Asheville, NC. Having shared stages with Outkast, Knovict, Ray Lavender and many more, DNoRRi is someone you need to be paying attention to. Now residing in the “QC” Charlotte, North Carolina, he is working on new music, building new relationships and making the best of his time in quarantine. Having been named the #1 unsigned artist via Soundclick and Reverbnation, DNoRRi is feeling positive about the future!

He has been pursuing his dream, since he was a teen. he has done many shows, concerts, performed at car shows, auditioned for American Idol and other MTV talent shows. Ranked #1 on several indie charts.

The influence for music started for him, while growing up on the southside of Asheville, NC. When he look back on how his family would be packed in an apartment kitchen in Erskine st projects on the southside, radio turned all way up and they all singing along to some of the greatest hits on the radio back then. His grandma would also take him to see his grandpa who was a singer in a gospel band that would perform at Music programs around the city, there would be a ton of different bands. He remember hearing from his grandpa and his band practicing in the basement for hours. He also would always end up down in the basement playing around with the microphones, drums, guitars, keyboards and etc.

He released a song a couple years ago called “UBER ME”, which got over 1 million plays on SoundCloud independently. It got a lot of buzz; He was contacted by a lot of industry people about the song. He used that to network and to build relationships, as He begun to work on his new single “Everybody”. Which has gotten even more attention from the listeners, gaining even more fans from the new catchy Pop/Hiphop/Gospel/sound that it has. It just hit 100k plays on SoundCloud. The people have reacted in a big way, they loved that it has such a unique and different sound. It also has been a great song during this time.

It’s for sure has been a crazy year so far. During the pandemic, He actually gained more as an artist. He was able to reach new listeners and make new fans, since everybody has been kind of at a standstill. What better time to be winning the hearts of the people with his music, especially if it helps “Everybody” ‘s vibe better. He also got the attention of his manager UNEEKINT manager/music mogul/ Influencer, who reached out to him after hearing his music on Instagram. After just a short few months of working together, things took off for him pretty fast; He got a distribution deal with Sony/Orchard, He has been featured on major mags, Blogs and radio. UNEEKINT definitely takes “DNORRI” career to the right direction.

He is working on new songs at the moment. Using everyday events to inspire his music. It’s one of the best ways to connect with people. He feel it’s important to give something to the listeners that they can relate to when hearing his music.
