In R&B and hip hop marriage-dissolution news, Stevie J is asking for money from Faith Evans in their divorce.

The producer and reality show star is asking the courts to award him more funds from his estranged wife in the wake of their break up. Is this best for both parties? Does Stevie J deserve extra funds in his bank account just because they cannot resolve their differences?

It was only a few weeks ago, a video caught them doing cartwheels together on the beach.

Alas, their harmony was short-lived, and what seemed like it might turn into reconciliation may just have been a photo-op for supporters.

So should Stevie J get the cash from Evans? His track record as someone without game is notorious throughout hip hop circles. If he lays down his pimp hand, and it is strong, he just might have a chance to persuade the judge.

The R&B singer has an alleged net worth of $3 million dollars, which is less than Stevie J’s $5 million. If he can show the judge that he agreed to share their fortunes equally while married, he just might have a case.

When it comes to the money in relationships, things can get testy, even messy. As the parties wish to hold on to as much money as possible, it is imperative for both of them to understand the fine print that goes along with the money that should be driven into an account.

Faith Evans has been married three times, including a relationship with the Notorious B.I.G. She was also married to manager Todd Russaw. Evans was Stevie J’s first marriage, and apparent divorce. If he wants to stop being a simp, and actually secure a bag of cash, he might be able to pinpoint how to get a piece of what goes in Evans purse.

He has even made it clear the songstress will not get any money from him in the settlement. That means not only will he be reaping the benefits of Evans catalogue, he won’t have to shell out any cash at all. This is pimping. If he takes seriously his role as a man of superior substance, and one who is the prize in the fractured relationship, it’s like he can regain some semblance of player status.

As a gentleman of leisure, Stevie J might just enter the ranks of great pimps who were able to put the mack down on a woman. If he is able to funnel her funds into his bank account, he could show to the world he has relinquished his position as a certified simp.

For Faith Evans, she is a woman of power and grace. Unafraid to put hands on Stevie J, allegedly, she is a goddess, and someone you do not cross. Her Newark, New Jersey upbringing gave her a chance to see the rough side of life.

She rose above all of this to become a singer-songwriter of the highest order. This diva has been scorned in her past, and will not take any nonsense from anyone. On the edge of her handing over her smart earned dollars, she may use her gangstress persona to block Stevie J’s petitions. Evens could possibly hire a team of attorneys to see just how much cash he will actually have to fork over in the deal. She could be much richer if she gets the right legal crew.

Whatever happens after the courts sort out their mess, both artists may be looking for a new spouse. Hopefully, they will not let money fights be a factor in their respective new relationships.
