Willy Chirino celebrated his 35th anniversary in the music business with this live album the 35th anniversary live from Miami. It also was accompanied by a DVD of the concert. This was around the time. Willie won his Grammy for Son del Alma and 2008 2009 I wanna say like 2007 to 2008.

Now Willy has been in the music business for a wonderful 50 years. For the concert celebrating his 35th anniversary in the music business he performed all of his hits and some from his recent at the time Son del Alma. It was a great show with and Willy knows how to put on a great show no doubt about it. Willy standards that he did, of course Medias Negras, Ya Viene Llegando, Hechizo Luna Llena and so many more. many of his famous friends joined him on stage as well like Arturo Sandoval to play trumpet, salsa, singer, Oscar DeLeon, a rapper for toda Pasa, and many many more. His wife Lissette, who is also a legend in Latin music in her own right also joined him on stage for work that they had done together over their careers together. A Willy Chirino concert is a party, it’s a celebration of life and everything positive in the world. Being that he fights so tirelessly for free Cuba the songs that are an anthem for Cuba are also in the concert as well naturally. The live album is also accompanied by a DVD of the performance, if I had not mentioned that already. If you’re just getting into Willy Chirino and his music, you’ve got to get this album and DVD it is well worth it. Also, in the way the world is now if you have Spotify or any other digital place all you gotta do is stream it like it and you’ll have it.it’s worth it no matter how you get it. When you go to a Willy Chirino concert, you can’t sit there and do nothing. You’ve got to get up and dance and enjoy because that’s what it’s all about believe me. Willy is super awesome to us his audience and his fans as well. I had a cousin who played trumpet in band when she was in high school and she initially told me that she had been getting into trumpets so I took her upstairs to my room for a minute and played her the Willy Chirino album where Arturo Sandoval was playing on a song of Willy so she could hear what she could be if she continued on with the instrument.

Erykah Badu officially debuted in the music industry in 1996 with her debut album. From that album came the singles on and on, next lifetime, other side of the game and others. So naturally the following year 1997 Miss Badu release the awesome live album appropriately titled live. on the live album, she did the what would it become an iconic song of hers as well as on and on the but another iconic song well, all of her songs are iconic actually. However, on this album, she debuted the tell off your man song, Tyrone. Oliver hits are there on the live album as well. Ms. Badu does not disappoint. She is a woman very much in touch with her African roots. You can see it from the headdress as she wears to the jewelry. She is completely herself, and that is beautiful. At the recording of the album, Erykah Badu was actually pregnant with what I think was her first child. At one point during the show, she actually turned to show her stomach to the audience. Erykah Badu live is a great album. If you should get your hands on it, get it. Erykah Badu is like earth mother meets jazz singer. That’s a beautiful combination.
