Enphamus is one of my favorite new artists. I made that known when I reviewed his "Max Payne" single featuring Young Nudy this past spring. That is also why I campaigned heavily for him to take the 10th spot during this year's XXL Freshman voting phase. Every release since then has only strengthened my argument, and "Secret Indictment" is another reminder that Enphamus is operating at a different level than most artists in his class right now.

The biggest surprise for me on this record is that Enphamus, who is still building his name nationally, was able to secure Memphis legend Project Pat for the collaboration. That alone speaks volumes. Project Pat is one of the most respected voices to ever come out of Memphis, and his presence instantly gives the record weight. More importantly, he doesn't feel like a feature that was simply added for attention. He feels like an essential piece of the song.

The track opens with Project Pat's powerful chorus, "Thank God for pulling me out the darkness," immediately setting the tone for a record centered around growth, self-belief, perseverance, and the lessons learned from surviving difficult circumstances. His signature delivery brings authenticity to the record and creates a strong foundation for Enphamus to build upon.

Once Enphamus enters the record, he completely takes control. Believe me, there are far too many quotables to cover just from the first verse alone. One thing I continue to notice about Enphamus is his ability to make every line feel bigger than what's written on paper. Some artists have bars. Some artists have delivery. Enphamus has both. His voice carries authority and confidence, while his cadence gives each punchline room to breathe and land properly.

One of the slickest moments for me comes right at the beginning when he says, "Aww s--- I'm the biggest in it, leave the mic smelling like a chicken dinner." It's one of those lines that immediately grabs your attention and lets you know he's about to have fun on the track. What impressed me most, though, is that he doesn't let up after the opening sequence. The bars continue coming in waves. Every few lines there is another moment that makes you rewind the song just to catch what you missed the first time around.

Production plays a major role in why this record works so well. The beat is Southern, smooth, and built around that classic Memphis cowbell bounce that hip-hop fans have loved for decades. What's even more impressive is that Enphamus co-produced the record alongside Louis. Instead of overloading the instrumental with unnecessary sounds, the production remains disciplined and focused. It creates the perfect environment for the lyrics to remain front and center while still knocking hard through speakers.

The more I listened, the more I appreciated how balanced the record feels. The beat never overshadows the verses, and the verses never overpower the production. Both elements work together seamlessly. That's harder to accomplish than people realize. Plenty of artists can rap over a good beat. Very few can create a record where every piece feels connected.

The vibe and replay value here are undeniable. This is a speaker knocker in every sense of the phrase. I'm talking about those late summer nights sitting in the parking lot with the crew, windows down, music loud enough to shake the trunk. It carries that type of energy. The song feels equally comfortable during a solo drive as it does during a group link-up. Those are usually the records that stick around the longest because they fit multiple environments.

Enphamus truly delivered with this record. The consistency he's shown leading into his upcoming project has been impressive to watch. Recently, he dropped behind-the-scenes footage connected to the song, which tells me the official music video is likely arriving sooner rather than later. If the visual matches the quality of the record itself, fans are in for another strong release.

"Secret Indictment" appears on Enphamus' upcoming project "No Biggie," dropping July 3, and based on everything I've heard so far, the anticipation is more than justified.

The concept works because Project Pat naturally fits the record's tone and message. The collaboration bridges generations of Southern hip-hop while still allowing Enphamus to remain the star of the show.

The rollout has been solid so far. The record is available across major streaming platforms and fans have already received behind-the-scenes content connected to the song. The score could climb even higher once the official music video arrives and the visual campaign fully develops around the record.

At this point, Enphamus is making it difficult for me to find weaknesses in his recent releases. Every time I think he has reached his ceiling, another record arrives that raises the standard again. "Secret Indictment" is not simply another single in the rollout. It feels like another statement piece from an artist who clearly understands exactly who he is and where he wants to go.

What makes this run so impressive is the consistency. Plenty of artists can create one standout record. Fewer can string together multiple quality releases that continue building momentum. From "Max Payne" to now "Secret Indictment," Enphamus has yet to miss. Every release feels intentional. Every release feels like another chapter in a larger story. That's the type of discipline that separates artists with short-term buzz from artists capable of building lasting careers.

With "No Biggie" arriving soon, the pressure is naturally increasing. The good news for Enphamus is that pressure only seems to bring out his best work. If the singles are any indication of what's coming on the full project, fans may be witnessing the arrival of one of hip-hop's most complete new artists. Right now, Enphamus is on a winning streak, and "Secret Indictment" only extends it.
