Concert was born out of a desire to create a repertoire which is of the highest quality and the most exciting, with a focus on music from the classical world and from the popular world. The programme is not limited by any particular era and is open to any genre of music. This allows you to enjoy the rich history and rich sound of the Schola.

The concert was founded in 2007, in the heart of the Victorian city centre and it is a celebration of the music of Bethoven’s ‘Schola’ and of the Schola’s great work as a music hall. The concert is a celebration of the Schola’s music and the Schola’s legacy.

This spectacular show by British band “The Furies” will be performed at City Hall (5pm), Westminster Abbey (6pm) St. John smith Square – London Bridge & TrafalgarSquare (8pm).

The concert programme is a broad one, covering music from the ages of 3 to 80. Some of the concerts are of great historical and artistic significance, and some are just wonderful fun. As well as the regular ensemble concerts, there are concerts by the London Ballet, the Royal Ballet of Scotland, and the National Opera of Scotland.

The performance brings together works that were recorded by soloists or ensemble members throughout the 20 years when they had been partofthe Festival (1st century AD), culminating in some 3,500 performances across both venues during 2010.

The Schola Concertos is the largest and most prestigious opera orchestra in the world, comprising the members of the world-famous Bethoven, Satie, Satie, Satie, Satie and Satie, as well as the Schola. The Schola Concertos comprises two world-renowned opera houses, The London Sinfonia and The Royal Philharmonic Opera House.

The Schola is an ensemble of singers, instrumentalists and musicians who make their own music, and perform in a wide variety of styles and genres, and who are known for their professionalism, spontaneity and enthusiasm. They are all dedicated to the highest standards of singing, playing and performing, and their music is regarded as one of the best in the world.

The Schola is the official music of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. A series of concerts have been held around the world to mark the occasion. Concerts are held in the Schola Church, and in the Victoria and Albert Hall, and in the Royal Albert Hall.

Our special guest at the Concert has just arrived back in Europe from his trip to the Balkans where he has been to hear concerts for the first time, and our conductor, who has just returned from a ten year visit to the UK. His visit was a welcome surprise to our programme. The Concert is for children aged 8-17 years old only and includes: * 5 concert songs including the premiere of "The Legend of Dorothy" * 3 concert-free songs including "The Legend of Dorothy", "The Magic Flute", and the premiere of "The Wizard of Oz".

The Concert for Children’s Charity will run from Friday, July 21st to Sunday, August 8th and will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.
