Singer and megastar Beyoncé has followed through on her vow to provide significant assistance, which will go toward the disaster relief efforts in Southeast Texas in the wake of Hurricane Harvey's aftermath.

Beyoncé, 35, launched an initiative called BeyGOOD Houston, a campaign of charity designated to deliver support for residents of Houston, Texas who were drastically affected by the devastating storm that recently passed over the state's Gulf Coast. The "Crazy in Love" hit maker is a native of Houston who has proudly represented her city in various songs as a member of the super girl group Destiny's Child and as a solo artist.

BeyGOOD Houston was officially launched on Thursday (August 31). Earlier this week on Monday (August 28), Beyoncé released an exclusive statement to the Houston Chronicle, her hometown newspaper. In her official statement, the skilled performer made a promise to do whatever is necessary to help the years-long hurricane relief efforts that will be needed to console the residents of a city that is dear to her heart.

"My heart goes out to my hometown, Houston, and I remain in constant prayer for those affected and for the rescuers who have been so brave and determined to do so much to help," Beyoncé said in her exclusive statement to the Houston Chronicle. "I am working closely with my team at BeyGOOD as well as my pastor (Rudy Rasmus at St. John's in downtown Houston) to implement a plan to help as many as we can," she continued.

Beyoncé is obviously a woman of her word who knows that faith without works is dead. In addition to her prayers, the platinum-selling songstress and dancer followed through by providing a well-organized conduit for people to donate wheelchairs, feminine products, diapers, baby wipes, formula, blankets, pillows, cots to sleep on, as well as many more essential items that will go a long way to help people in need.

"Join us as the BeyGOOD team heads to Houston to continue our relief efforts on the ground. We have teamed up with Bread of Life and Greater Houston Community Foundation, who have been working with the displaced from the start of Hurricane Harvey's landfall," reads a statement written on the home page of the BeyGOOD Houston website. The initiative's organizers are using social media outlets to spread the word.

Beyoncé's younger sister and fellow singer/performer Solange is also engaging in a well-coordinated effort to provide relief to the overwhelmed residents of Houston. According to the Huffington Post, Solange, 31, will be hosting two benefit concerts (one in Boston, Massachusetts and one in New York City, New York), which have been organized to raise money for and bring awareness to the long-term relief effort in Houston.

Solange used Instagram on Wednesday (August 30) to get the message out about her musical acts of charity, which will help Hurricane Harvey's victims who live in her hometown. Three dollars off every single ticket sale for both of Solange's benefit concerts will go toward the direct disaster outreach effort being undertaken in Houston's Third Ward, the section of the city where Solange and her sister were raised in.

"I will be doing a special "Orions Rise" show in Boston, and ALL proceeds will go towards Hurricane Harvey Relief. I'm committed to partnering with organizations on the ground in Houston and making contributions to uplift the city that raised me with so much love. See you September 28 Boston, I thank you in advance for making this a special meaningful night!" Solange wrote Wednesday on her Instagram page.

Solange's concert in Boston will be held on September 28 at the Orpheum Theatre. The concert in New York City is scheduled for October 3 at the Radio City Music Hall. Please help Harvey's victims by donating here to BeyGOOD Houston.
