4 ways to discover music

Music has been one of the things that has helped me put up with the lockdown and the stress , so before i start with the different ways to discover new music , i hope you're staying at home and always wearing your mask and if you ever feel down remember you are not alone and then put on a pair of headphones or turn up the speakers and jam out to music .

1) Spotify

Spotify was a good start of for me personally , if you do not know what spotify is , it is a music streaming app with a lot of songs from various genres and you can either use the free version (access to all songs but comes with ads) or the daily , weekly , monthly or yearly plan (Access to all songs and no ads and with download capabilities and sharing) . On spotify you can search up for a song that you love and listen to it and then after the song is over it should automatically start playing "Spotify Radio" where songs that are similar to yours or songs that people who listened to your song also liked , so you can create different playlists with different genres and store your discovered songs in the respective playlist .

2) Youtube

I was pretty suprised to see how Youtube actually suggests nice songs , so i would suggest that you create a seperate gmail account only for music as if you use your main account then you wouldn't get the most of it .

So the way i discover music is , on my TV i open the Youtube app and go to the music section and i search for a song that i like , say "MTN TUNE by Trails and Ways" is my personal favourite and it belongs to the Indie and Pop genres , so what Youtube would do is (TV app) , it would automatically create a playlist with songs similar to this , so in this case the playlist would be "MTN TUNE - mix" , then if you open the Youtube app on your phone , in your history you can see the playlist and then click on the playlist and then when it opens there would be an option for you to save the playlist so save the playlist so that incase you cannot listen to the playlist you can save it for later and later Youtube would suggest similar songs and channels that post songs of the similar genres .

3) Radios

Radios are another way to discover new music , some countries have different Radio Stations for different Generes of music , so tune in to them and see what suits you and if you like a song , Shazam it and save it for later .

4) TV channels

TV channels are another great way to discover new music , some music channels like MTV , Deluxe ( tv channel or mobile app) are some of the many music channels that play music 24/7 and again if you like any song Shazam it .
