Turquoise Stone
Peat spreads along the ancient red shoreline, among a sea of rust pops turquoise stone; stuck under the surface for all of time, until small fingers pluck it from below. Ripples spread away in random fashion, wet hands drip sweet water like mothers tears; green colored reflections ignite passion, whispers of ancestors the child hears. Listen to the ground neath your naked feet, rumbles of those before you sing aloud; stone of the sky and the young soul will meet, join the band of siblings to make us proud. A turquoise stone carved neath the willow tree, along the jagged shore of rust and peat.
