Freak Show Carnival
I parked my black honda accord about a mile away from the Carnival. When I got out of my car I could already smell the roasting turkey legs, the sweaty beer, and the fried sweets. It was hot, about 85 degrees Fahrenheit. As it was a July evening in Indiana the sun would not begin to set until about 9 pm, it was another hour ahead until then.

Atlantic Symbol
My day of days had finally arrived. At four in the morning on Halloween, I walked to the Tiki Hut Tavern, as the dark Atlantic Ocean sang me a calm tune. Jack-o-lanterns decorated the Tavern perimeter, and a blow-up Dracula guarded the front door. Someone left little candles flickering in some of the carved pumpkins. The ambiance was a happy sign from the gods for me. I wore a sandy sweatshirt and was feeling very comfortable.
