Ratchet & Clank is Awesome! Here’s How It Inspired My Writing…
If you’ve never heard of it (how could you not have?), Ratchet & Clank is a video game series that began all the way back in 2002. Since then, it has released 14 video game titles – 8 main entries, 3 side entries, 1 remake and 2 non-canon entries. In addition to this, there’s also been a 6-issue comic book series and a movie.

Some Highton Heroes Techy Stuff
Hey all! Highton Heroes is sci-fi, so naturally there’s some techy stuff in there. When I write up an Info Book for one of my screenwriting projects, I tend to do a hefty section on all the tech (be it standard or strange) that will feature. Sci-Fi isn’t typically like writing for the current time period (or one people know a lot about). There’s often a lot of unique and strange aspects that only fit into this one story world. So, to keep track of everything you’re making up, it pays to have it documented.

The Main Characters of Highton Heroes
Hi everyone! I’m nearing the end of my run evolving Highton Heroes season one episodes from first drafts to fourth drafts now. Only 2 episodes left! It’s been a long process but very rewarding as the narrative starts to really take shape and become more readable (and hopefully enjoyable!).

Highton Heroes: What is Highton?
Hi everyone! This week I’m keeping the ball rolling on Highton Heroes info drops. Recently, I delved into the world surrounding Highton. This time, given the name of the series, I want to deep dive into Highton itself, the city the series follows.

Highton Heroes: The World Behind It
Hi everyone! I want to kick off 2022 by posting some deeper info and insights about my project Highton Heroes. I talked last year about getting through the gruelling process of the first draft. In the last month, I’ve been working away on revising each episode through second, third and fourth drafts.

How Halo Inspired My Writing
Halo is an action/science fiction video game series that launched on Xbox in 2001. If you’ve heard of the character Master Chief, we’re talking about that series. With the recent release of Halo Infinite, I thought now would be a good time to talk about one of Nash’s biggest inspirations. During its Bungie days, the Halo franchise was one of my all-time favourite series, especially the original trilogy – Halo Combat Evolved (2001), Halo 2 (2004) and Halo 3 (2007).

Writing The First Draft
“The first draft of anything is s***” I didn’t know who said this for a long time, but doing a bit of digging around the web led me to discover it can be attributed to Ernest Hemingway, a famous American novelist who passed away in 1961. For me, I first heard this quote during my screenwriting course at uni, and it’s stuck with me since.
