Story Adaptations: Why Can It Go So Wrong?
This post originated on the Space & Lasers blog. Hey everyone! It’s been a few busy months for me (moving states and all the fun that comes with that), but I’m back for a new post for the year! (And may I say that I much prefer writing these in a warmer climate.)

A Controversial Inspiration: Star Wars
This post originated on the Space & Lasers blog. Hey everyone! Well, I can't avoid it any longer. It's time to talk about a big inspiration that shaped my writing projects, especially in my early writing years. It also solidified my interest in Science Fiction, which eventually led me to deeper content like The Expanse. You all know it. Yep, it's Star Wars.

How Sequels Can Deliver The Good Stuff
Hey everyone! Has this year felt like it’s flying by for you? It sure has for me! Already at April, I’ve been making good progress on Nash II, a sequel to the Nash: The True Nemesis screenplay I completed last year. As I’ve worked through the Story Plan and now move onto writing a full Treatment, I’ve begun to think about the whole concept of sequels.

Mass Effect: The Inspiration That Changed Everything
Hello everyone! 2022 is nearly over, so I wanted to end the year with a bang by diving into one of my favourite series and one that has served as my biggest inspiration. Quite literally! It completely reshaped the way I looked at and delivered the story of my Nash film series.

Digging into the Tech of Nash
Hey everyone! Well, we’ve come to the last of my Nash info drops. Not to say there won’t be more to share in the future, but I think what I’ve shared so far about Nash (and Highton Heroes) is enough to get a sense of the worlds I’m creating and the stories I want to tell.

The Big Players in Nash
Hello there, It’s been quiet on the writing front in recent weeks. I’ve been taking some time out to reflect on and build up my screenwriting skills. I’ve done some research in areas I considered myself weak and have already learned so many things I’d been missing.

The Main Factions of Nash
Hello once again! I find factions (or groups) an integral part of building a storyworld because it dives deeper than just saying this group is ‘good’ and this group is ‘bad’. It’s a way of looking at the storyworld like the real world. The real world itself is made up of a huge array of factions and groups. Each one has their own view of the world. Their own view of what is right and what is wrong. Whether those groups are ACTUALLY right or wrong really comes down to the way other groups perceive them.

Breaking Down The ‘Galaxy’ In Nash
Hey all! Earlier in the year I dropped a few posts about my Highton Heroes series to purely talk about it from an information perspective. My goal was to introduce you to the world I’m writing in, along with some of the main characters.
