The Sleeping Dragon
Once upon a time there was a small kingdom near the sea called Carwhew. In the village of Carwhew lived a small boy who loved to go out and find sea shells. Every morning when the sun came up he would run to the beach and find the most beautiful shells he could find. They came in pinks and blues, browns and greens each one a different color. One day while he was collecting shells he saw a purple irridescent shell like none he had ever seen before. He reached down to pick it up but it seemed stuck in the sand.

How Winnie The Pooh Changed My Life
When I was little my Father used to read me AA Milne’s Winnie the Pooh. I think piglet was my favorite. I always felt like a very small animal on the look out for a friend like Winnie the Pooh. I learned the character traits of Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit and Eeyore. I loved the stories and amazing illustrations.

My Passion is Puppetry
It has taken me sixty years to find my passion, not because I had to work hard to discover it, but because it has always been there. I always thought everyone could do what I do. As a result I really never appreciated what I was capable of. I just thought everyone could write and create the same way I could.

Discovering My Outer Limits
Discovering My Outer Limits SL Kirby Sometimes social shock occurs with children, because they don’t understand the world the way older people do. I was four years old in 1965. Our large black and white TV set sat in the center of our living room in our apartment in Falls Church, Virginia. That television was the center of my mornings. Part of my routine. It played an important role in whether it was a good day or a bad day. I would have breakfast at about nine. Then I would sit down and watch cartoons. I loved cartoons. I had spent the last few years in another country so cartoons were new and in English, which I could understand. I soon realized though, that watching cartoons, was not without risk.

Creating Happiness With A Thunder Of Dragons
Creating My Happiness With A Thunder Of Dragons Once upon a time there were dragons. But this isn’t a story about just any dragons. These dragons are soft and cuddly. With green safety eyes. The first dragon was Dulcimer, Dulci for short. He was big, fluffy and unruly. I knew it was up to me to tame him into the dragon I conceived him to be.

Little Black Notebook
When I woke up Saturday, I wasn’t looking for an adventure. Sometimes you find yourself going through everything that happened that week. My Aunt Eliza died Thursday. At seventy-two, she had been a bundle of energy. She worked part time at the local museum so she could chat with people. She claimed it gave her a little extra cash. It was the perfect job for her. She loved learning. She was a college librarian for twenty-five years. She got my brother, Marco a job as a security guard at the museum. He is spending time at our Mom’s house making sure she is okay.
