I love stories. Any type of story. I believe that stories do more than just entertain. They help us see the world in a different light and understand what we are dealing with. Stories are a powerful tool if used well.

The Mars Initiative: Chapter 3
Angelique, James, and I have known each other for years. In fact, James got me my job at Mars Division. He’s one of the lead engineers on the project with the second highest security clearance at this division. There are only a few people with more influence in any of the Mars Divisions around the country which means that James travels a lot to the various divisions to promote project synergy.

Tansu
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. That’s why they call this part of the city the Vacuum. We moved to Tansu twenty years ago with the promise of a new beginning and a bright future. But that is not what we got. Earth was overpopulated so people were asked to volunteer to move to other planets that had been deemed suitable for human life. Tansu was one of them, but no one considered what would happen to a planet that was not originally intended to support humans.

The Accidental Date
Chapter 1 There are three things my friends learn about me very quickly. First, I’m an L.A. girl heart, soul, and mind. It is a source of pride for me that I have lived my entire adult life in L.A. Second, I love my job. I’m in high demand as a make-up artist for weddings throughout Southern California with the occasional trip to Hawaii, Mexico, and the Bahamas. Third, I think that life is like a Shakespearean comedy with more tragedy than comedy, but everything will turn out all right in the end. My philosophy: if you can’t laugh at yourself, you are setting yourself up for an unhappy life. Laughter really is the best medicine.

The Mars Initiative
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. And by “they” I mean Mr. Sprice, my science teacher from high school. It’s hard to imagine that I used to take all types of classes. Now our entire education is focused on science and math. I’m pretty sure we only learn how to read and write because of how it assists us in learning the “necessary” disciplines. The other disciplines are not illegal or anything, but you have to find someone who is still willing to teach you if you want to learn art or math or creative writing.
