Baker
Prologue: I bake, and bake and bake. But all I bake is cookies. I burnt, ruined, and trashed many batches. Tears flooding my eyes for every batch I ruined. Almost nothing made me sadder, nothing made me angrier. I hated the sight of ruined food, specially cookies. It makes me relive everything, as if I ruined a life all over again. But never had I given up on baking cookies. I always came back after crying and throwing my little recipe notebook. I always came back.

The Bus Stop
Chapter 1: Long days like these make me want to quit my job. But watching people come and go kept me busy enough. I watch them trot towards the bus as I drive it closer, trying to check wether this is the bus they should get on or not. I open the doors and the people huddle around it, trying to get inside and away from the rain. A woman holding her child by one hand and her scarf by the other, closely clutching it towards her body. A man's boots drench the bus as he quickly hops on, looking back at his dog that splashed the water out of his body before trotting behind his owner, dragged by the leash. He takes out his card and scans it, leaving a loud "beep!" before finding a seat. More and more people came in, more and more rain poured outside. Some immediately got out their cards and scanned, some let someone else do it for them so they could quickly find a seat. I shivered as the cold wind blew into the bus and prompted the people to get on faster.

Waves
The waves splashed onto my naked feet, cold as ice. But the warmth of the sun hugged the rest of my body. I forgot to put on sunscreen, but that was fine, it was the last time I came to the beach, the last time my eyes would get to gaze at its endless blue. How mysterious it is, the sea and the sky. I thought about how vast the space is, and about the depth of the ocean. Oh lord, how could anyone leave this beauty behind?

MUTE
Prologue: It was midnight, twelve o’clock sharp. I went out of bed after I heard my parents yelling at one another. I was terrified, my parents never fought until that horrific night. The wooden boards of the hallway creaked as I slowly walked towards their room. The door was not entirely closed, but I only saw mom because I was afraid they’d see me if I peek any further.

Thief
I lived in the bazaar. Well, not exactly IN the bazaar but behind its stalls, in a corner, in a shack. What woke me up every morning was the bustling noise of the crowd that gathered on every stall. I wake up to the noises of kids running around with coins tucked in their pockets, looking for the first opportunity they get to spend it on whatever stupid stuff they lay their eyes on. I wake up to the smell of fresh soup, chicken, fish, fruits and all kinds of cookies and baked goods. But what my mouth gets for breakfast is the same old, crunchy bread the bakers throw out at the end of every day. People are strange, they only realize the value of things when they loose it or when they've never had it. It's strange how easy it is for them to take it all for granted.

Light
There are many reasons I like the dark. I sat, hugging my legs, resting my chin on my knees. The forest wind gently tugging on my body while hurling the leaves around me. My hat, regardless of its color, was a big on my head. But that was okay. It covered whatever parts on my face that the fire in front of me illuminated.
