Having developed and had approved the Project Charter back in the Initiation Phase, the Product Manager now takes on the responsibility for creating an overall Project Management Plan and preparing the way for work to begin.

Processes in Project Management: Phase 3 — Putting Plans Into Action
The Execution Phase is usually the longest of the five phases of the Project Management life-cycle, as it involves bringing to fruition all of the components that were identified in the Work Breakdown Structure, and all of the day-to-day tasks that were determined in the Project Schedule. It is also linked with Phase 4, the Monitoring and Control Phase, and both phases take part concurrently, with the Project Manager having oversight through all these Execution processes.

Processes in Project Management: Phase 5 — Project Closure
In the fifth and final Phase of the project’s life-cycle, the Project Closure Phase, the Project Teams have now completed their work on producing the deliverables, and the teams and the Project Manager can now hand the finished product/s over to the Product Owner and Project Sponsor. In the closure phase, they will conduct a number of tasks in order to bring the project to its successful completion.

Whilst key processes are taking place in Phase 3 of the Project Management Life-Cycle and the project teams and Execution Process Groups are working on producing the deliverables, meeting their key targets and milestones, and ensuring that they are adhering to the objectives set out in the Project Schedule, the Project Manager’s role becomes one of overseer.

Even if you don’t immediately recognise her name, you will certainly be acquainted with the incisive witticisms of acclaimed writer, poet, satirist, screenwriter, and critic, Dorothy Parker. Indeed, many of her clever one liners and sagacious sayings have become a part of our cultural lexicon. She was a founding member of the Algonquin Round Table, a New York- based circle of writers famed for their wit, wisecracks, and wordplay, and she remains an important figure in American modernist literature.

Come and Get It While It’s Hot
The shrill sound of my phone’s ringtone wakes me from a deep and restful sleep. For a moment or two, I am completely confused and discombobulated. Then comes the panic: the only reason someone would be calling at this time of the morning is because of an emergency. Something bad must have happened. Flustered, I snap up my phone, glance at the caller ID, and swipe to answer it.

I Spy
Looking back on that afternoon, there are a couple of things that I hold responsible for what happened. The crisp and salty sea air, for one. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved the beach. The sound of the ocean waves breaking, crashing against the shore; the fine spray that permeates the air; stepping lightly through rock-pools as they glint in the sunlight; hearing the steady lap and savoring the sensation of sand and sea water sucking at my toes as the water recedes, and returns, then recedes again. Or sitting at the top of a cliff and watching, hearing and feeling the thunderous power of the waves smashing violently against the rock-face.

The Sweetest Taboo
His hand stroked my face gently. His bright blue eyes smiling, he ran his forefinger over my warm, partially opened lips. “You’re so beautiful,” he murmured, and lowered his mouth to mine. I hummed with pleasure as his tongue found my own and softly twined against it, his lips brushing my skin.
