The Quintessential Quintuplets Anime Ending Isn't Perfect and Why I'm OK With It
So I recently watched the ending to The Quintessential Quintuplets anime and I'm a little late in opining on this series since the ending aired a couple of years ago, but I'm throwing my opinion out there regardless. It was an ending that surprised me, like it did for many fans of the series, but I viewed it more as a bittersweet ending rather than the rage inducer that affected some fans. Maybe that is because of my rather oddball approach to the series.

In My Image
A battle weary figure stood on a dais at the base of an obsidian throne. No walls existed for this throne room. It rested at the peak of Mount Othys which overlooked all but Mount Olympos to the north. The man standing next to the throne had a shoulder length mane of black hair in ringlets and beard of coarse hair that matched the hair on his head.

III
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. A glimpse is all it could be from this distance in a storm. Whenever lightning flashed, grotesque, twisted spires reached towards the sky as if pleading with some deity to explain why they had become so deformed. The building was completely soundproof to the outside. The only evidence of thunder was a low vibration through the walls, furniture, wall plaques, accoutrements. Rain streaked the window but it too conveyed no sound.

My Little Planet
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. What a concept! No medium for sound to travel. Stars explode, planets coalesce, asteroids collide, comets vaporize all in complete silence. At the same time both terrifying and majestic.
