Dynasty: A Batman Tale Part 14
NOW As soon as the shadow hid the light of the full moon from shining through the stained glass window high above Oracle’s cage, Barbara knew she was no longer alone. She had been expecting him to visit after watching him on a live feed inspecting the crime scene at the West 127th Street Station. Barbara notified her father Commissioner Gordon to leave the scene undisturbed allowing Batman to collect uncontaminated evidence, if any clues were to be found, they would be.

Dynasty: A Batman Tale Part 19
NOW The wind chill slapping the commissioner in the face had caused the spraying mist from Gotham Harbor to freeze in his mustache while racing out to the Antarctica. His horn-rimmed glasses needed to be continuously wiped just so he could see. Not that it mattered, the fog was too thick and only the red and blue lights from his police boat twirling in the surrounding clouds were visible. Jim Gordon was leading a team of Gotham’s finest to take Pamela Isley or as she preferred, Poison Ivy into custody.

Dynasty: A Batman Tale Part 12
NOW To Jim Gordon, a rain storm in Gotham felt like GOD’s tears falling from the heavens. Jim watched the ponderous raindrops ricocheting off the bright searchlight aimed up at the night sky. The droplets sizzling as they bounced off the incandescent light, the sound tinging off the metal bat silhouette at its center. The Commissioner was able to stay dry by standing underneath a small awning just next to the roof access door. He wanted to grab a quick moment for himself, take a few puffs from his chewed up stogie before heading in to address the troops. Gordon had spent the past few hours reading and rereading all the reports and witness statements regarding the incident at Freeze. After combing through all the accounts and watching the video from the surveillance cameras, Jim dreaded the road the evidence was leading him down. Jesus Christ! Can he be back after all this time? Damn it, I always knew this day would come.

NOW The workers recruited by Clayface were finishing the last stage of their mission, the appointed foreman approached the large looming figure who was adjusting the brim of his fedora. “Sir, we’re all finished!” the foreman said as he came around to face Basil. Trying not to stare at the former thespian’s scarred features he continued, “We done everything like you ordered!” Over the past twenty-four hours, dozens of nameless men, including criminals, ranging from street hoods to murderers, along with men simply desperate for work, together buried a large number of munitions in strategic locations beneath Gotham.

Dynasty: A Batman Tale - Part 10
NOW At first glance, the Antarctica appeared to be a huge glacier protruding from Gotham Harbor. Commonly referred to as The Iceberg, at just over six hundred feet in length, it was the largest yacht in the world. Sheathed with three inch thick mirrored bulletproof glass and powered by a small army, the yacht was an impenetrable fortress and home to Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot. Chester as he preferred to be called, was known for being a ’Gentleman Criminal’ with a fondness for wearing formal tuxedos earning him the nickname ‘Penguin’.

NOW “Riddle me this!” Edward Nigma said with a chuckle. “What happens when you mix one thousand pounds of c-4 explosives and the most sinister mind of the present era?” Edward Nigma couldn’t resist throwing in an appropriate riddle if the situation called for one. The years had been kind to his mind. No longer was every thought scrambled, though he visualized the mystery in everything, at least now he was able to communicate without speaking in riddles. Nicknamed ‘The Riddler’ by the Gotham Gazette, Edward Nigma captured the headlines after committing a series of murders in which his victims were unable to answer his riddles.

Dynasty: A Batman Tale - Part 7
NOW As always Bruce kept the conversation short and to the point, but unlike any other time when Bruce’s voice would command confidence, Dick heard uncertainty. They seldom spoke since Dick had moved to Blüdhaven. Bruce had refused to believe that Dick was ready to go out on his own, and it took quite some time for him to admit being wrong. Blüdhaven was seventy-five miles southwest of Gotham, but for as different as the city was from Gotham it could have been on the other side of the country. Dick arrived in the city coincidentally at the same time the mysterious figure known as Nightwing started patrolling the rooftops. Much smaller than Gotham, Blüdhaven had its share of corruption bleeding through the streets and Dick made quick work of cleaning up the city. Blüdhaven had an average sized criminal population, but as for organized crime the city had none.

NOW Pruitt Tower had once been the tallest buildings in Gotham, though over time the city’s skyline continued to rise leaving the conical roofed building in the shadow of Gotham’s newer sky-scrappers. The building’s tenants were made up of five small commercial businesses housed on the first two floors. Four major law firms occupied three levels each and while floors 19 through 23 were vacant, ELCARO Securities filled the top three, but the only way to reach the twenty-fourth floor was by private elevator in which none of the people working in the building had ever seen used.

The sixth company, McGaven Industries, learned the true meaning of hostile takeover six months prior when all eleven company board members tragically died after the founder’s yacht sank suspiciously, after an apparent explosion in the engine room.
