Part 1 Part 2 As soon as I graduated high school, I got the hell out of Gramercy. After Clay... changed, I became a shut in. I never left my room, but I ended up obsessed with audio video stuff. I convinced my parents to send me to summer camps, and it was the only time I could ever relax. During my senior year, I pieced together a shitty little documentary, and sent it off to UCLA as my application, I was lucky enough that they took me in and I ended up studying film. Although, quite frankly, I would have done just about anything to get out of that hellhole. Part of me just wanted to forget it all. I thought if I ignored it that maybe then Clay, the bees, Peaches, it would all just go away.

Don't Eat West Virginia Honey (Part 2)
Part 1 I know I’ve posted before about why you shouldn’t be eating the honey that comes out of Gramercy, West Virginia. I said I’d start from the beginning and go more into detail about what’s wrong with the town. What happened to me in the woods, and what happened to my dog, Peaches, was terrible, but people are attacked by animals all the time. If that was as far as my experience with Gramercy went, I wouldn’t be so desperate to keep people away. You see, what happened to Peaches hurt me deeply, but it was what happened to Clay, the only friend I ever made in that godforsaken hellhole, that terrified me into leaving as soon as I was old enough.

I know that Gramercy Honey is kind of a local phenomenon. Award winning at all kinds of local fairs in the West Virginia Appalachia area, and all that crap. But you really shouldn’t be touching the stuff. I haven’t in years. You see, the thing is Gramercy isn’t just a brand of honey. It’s also a town. Yeah, I know you can get all that off the label, and a whole bunch of other feel good artisanal small business bullshit too. But you see, I grew up in Gramercy, and I know its secrets. I know that sounds vague, but it’s true. There are so many things I can tell you, so many cracks in the rural small town facade the town presents, but I’m going start all the way at the beginning. This was the very first time I realized something was very wrong in the tiny little town I grew up in.

RC looked like most other children his age, but he didn’t have a mother or father. He wasn’t an orphan, though. He was decanted from a vat, when he looked to be about six-years-old, fully formed and with all the knowledge most six-year-olds would have and a peculiar bump on the back of his neck containing the latest solid-state biometric chip. As soon as he was cleaned up and dressed, RC was given a plastic lunchbox and backpack both with a Royal Crown Cola logo emblazoned on both. His favorite colors were blue and red, just like colors of his clothes, his lunch box, his backpack, and all the notebooks and pencils in his backpack and the colors seen on the Royal Cola logo.

From Pixar to Marvel to Star Wars; Disney has acquired some of the biggest businesses in entertainment. Over the last few years, Disney has worked hard to expand its horizon to encompass many different business aspects. By absorbing the companies, as well as their followings, Disney is becoming the pinnacle of many different fan bases in various genres of media and entertainment. The history and success of Disney coupled with the legacy of Lucasfilm set the Star Wars franchise up for the 2012 rebirth while still keeping to the importance of the series. George Lucas gave the world a whole new standard of filmmaking and viewing, and Disney is going to keep those expectations high with The Force Awakens,Rogue One, and more for years to come.

Darkest Comic Book Storylines
Comic books may have started out as something that was meant to be sold to children alongside packs of bubblegum, but in the past few decades the audience for comics has grown-up with them. Publishers have all been tackling this demand for more mature darker content to try and feed a fan base looking for a little something more then just the standard superhero heroics in their usual comic book storylines. Writers like Alan Moore and Frank Millar have managed to elevate the medium by tackling more mature stories and themes. These deconstructions have gone a long way towards expanding the market for comic books and have given the fans some of the darkest comic book storylines of all time. Maybe it stems from the desire to be immortal, but the strength that comic book characters posses is a one that we are all jealous off. Their power is more than just physical strength—they hold the fate of worlds in their hands. With great power comes great responsibility though, right? Some, without ever wielding a weapon, hold the power to both create and destroy with just their minds. Others do wield weapons, but only the most powerful and dangerous. Best Worst Spoof Movies
Spoof movies used to feature some of the best parody and satire to ever come out of Hollywood. The likes of Airplane and Young Frankenstein were some of the funniest comedies of their respective eras. Practically every genre Mel Brooks chose to parody turned into comedic gold. But in recent years the spoof movie has fallen from its previous cultural height. Somewhere along the line, people seemed to forget that making a movie parody didn’t mean copying its every plot point and making sophomoric jokes that could barely pass muster on a middle school playground. But somehow, terrible comedy writers took all of the wrong lessons from the masters of the spoof movie. In a way, the modern spoof movie is such an exquisite form of anti-comedy that their almost kind of hilarious in how unfunny they manage to be. What Meds Should the Suicide Squad Be On?
The August 2016 release of Suicide Squad brought a new brand of insanity that has taken the world by storm and set the internet ablaze. The Joker wouldn’t have it any other way. Jared Leto has taken over the role as the iconic clown prince of crime, using his method acting to take things to a whole new level. According to director David Ayer and co-star Will Smith, Leto never came out of character between takes. He even went as far as giving twisted gifts to his cast mates like a dead rat to Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) and real bullets to Will Smith (Deadshot). In fact, the filming of Suicide Squad was so intense that David Ayer recruited an on-set therapist to help the cast keep their sanity during the production. Which had us thinking: what kind of drugs should the Suicide Squad be on?

Scariest 70s Horror Movies
70s cinema became dominated by the American New Wave or New Hollywood. Lead by a new generation of baby boomer filmmakers, the American New Wave forever changed the world of cinema. These filmmaking mavericks took the authorial role away from the studios and placed it squarely in their own hands. Bringing new levels of sex and violence while pushing boundaries, the mavericks of the 70s also brought this approach to the horror arena, making some of the best films the genre had ever seen. Deviating from stock tropes and cliche norms, this new wave of horror films took cinematic terror in a new direction. Filmmakers like William Friedkin, Ridley Scott, David Cronenberg, Wes Craven, and John Carpenter rose to prominence and forever changed what audiences should be expect from film.
