10 Movie Recommendations For When The World is Crumbling
The pandemic left most of us with a pretty wide range of emotions. Fear, boredom, mourning, depression, joy, and anxiety are a few that come to mind. Those of us that were left jobless, working from home, or sick were left standing with a bunch of time slipping through our fingers. The pandemic has been a time we won’t get back and an excess of time many of us have never been granted before. Most of us live pretty hectic lives. Kids, jobs, marriages, social lives, just a handful of the many facets of our lives that keep our feet moving and our hands busy. The Goddess In Me
Dearest self, I know that you don’t feel strong right now. I know you feel broken beyond repair. Like bits and pieces of you have wound up in corners of the house covered in cobwebs and you can’t possibly put them back together. But they are not. You are whole and mighty and strong just as you have always been. You are a fierce warrior woman, and I love you. I love you, and I am so sorry for the things you have been through. I am sorry but also, I am proud. I write this letter, so you realize just how strong you are because I know you don’t always see it. I hope when you feel lost, you can re-read and re-read this until your eyes are too tired to move them across the page so that you can remember just how far you have come.

I sit here today on January 17th, 2021 and yet again I write you a letter you will never read.

Battle Cries
The barn owl, native to California, runs an average wingspan of 16 inches. In ancient Greek mythology, it is said that Athene, Goddess of Wisdom, was so taken by the owl it became her favorite creature of flight. The owl became a protector of Greece. During war the bird soared alongside Greek armies and served as a muse to the people. If an Owl flew over Greek Soldiers before a battle, they took it as a sign of victory. I was ten or so the first time I saw my owl, my protector.
